I already bought and reviewed the micro-USB versions of these, but as my gear gets a bit more hi-tech I needed some USB-C, and didn't hesitate in getting these again. They were also in the Black Friday sale so got a bargain.I have now been using Volutz pretty consistently now for nearly 3 years so feel i can comment well on them. Firstly, the lengths and the colour coding means you can always find which is which quickly (once you train yourself a bit to recognise them). I use two permanently in my car, the blue 3m one manages the dashcam, the orange 1m on my phone when mounted on the dashboard, all plugged into the multi-plug adapter; I will be using the orange 1m USB C for my new phone. In my office I have the 2m, permanently anchored to a charger, a USB C yellow short and a micro USB yellow short in a multi-port on my PC and the others float about as spares as and when I need them.Firstly, wattage and length - there was some discussion about whether these could maintain wattage across long lengths, and this has been tested in other reviews - I can safely say I have had no issues whatsoever maintaining a consistent charge with these cables.These work as good as (probably better than) the cables supplied with the devices themselves.Secondly - connection. Again, no problems at all here - reassuring 'clunk' when attached means these stay anchored in and don't stray off or detach randomly. I have read reviews which indicate a 'fall-off' of connection after a few months, and I can't say I have especially noticed this. I have noticed (in respect to many different types of cable) that sometimes some cables work better than others, which I think can in part be attributed to the way the device's port adapts to different chargers plugged in over a long period (e.g. if your cable is fractionally wider it may stretch the port, so that other cables don't connect as well). I wouldn't say that these cables cause any problems.Thirdly - build. Very high quality cables, strong braiding, which stops cables bending/breaking, rubber connector housing stops fraying around the plug, Nice clear lightning-strike symbols for charging, colours are vibrant. These are attractive cables. As a long term tester, I have had two of the original batch fail through bending of the cable near the plug (i.e always at an angle) so now I ensure I keep the cables relatively straight. They are still usable but relegated to the spares box....but remember this is with some serious use over many years!I was really pleased I bought these, can't really recommend them enough. I haven't had any issues with melting/exploding cables but I would imagine than anything like this that is reported is usually down to problems with a small batch, rather than something endemic. I love them, and would cheerfully buy more!

I have already done a review of the set of five USB Cables I bought in the first place. I awarded them a TEN STAR 🌟 Review. They are in very professional packaging and nicelypartitioned off in the box and with these C Type Leads they have a Velcro Wraparound on them - unlike the USB Cables that had a rubber band around them to keep them tidily looped up. I love the look of the shaped USB Connectors and the bright colours. The braided cable covers look really good and strong and the 3 metre one you could use as a tow rope.They definitely seem to charge my Tablets and Phones faster than the cheap and cheerless ones that the phone manufacturers provide. I would certainly give these C Type 10 stars too. I can't give a durability review as I have only had them 6 weeks tops. I will review them in 6 months time at the end of November so that you can buy a set as a Holiday Season present.All in all this small development company deserves to keep moving forward developing new products and come through these hard times. I have certainly recommended them to a number of friends. Well done Volutz. Keep those developments coming.

Battle-ready build standard. Solid full speed data throughput. Full power fast charge. Distinctive and functional design. The Volutz cable I had from previous USB standard outlasted four phones and is still going strong. Needed USB-C for direct connection to new phone. The cable build standard looks and feels the same solid quality as my previous cable. I agree that these seem pricey but the durability is such that the price can be divided over many years of reliable service and will therefore represent excellent value for money because it will not need to be replaced until the next connector standard generation.

These cables are STRONG.There isnt really much to say about cables usually as they either work or they dont lol. But these do. The transfer speeds are really good. they're compatible with my android s21 ultra. No issues at all.I like the braided cable design as they are less likely to get tangled - it also makes them stronger. really good quality cables in my honest opinion.However the connector is quite wide which can be an issue with some phone cases. Also, the cable is not USBC 3.2 speeds so you may not be able to use them for some faster devices.

When my HTC 10 charger decided to die (due to the cables internal wires faulting) I was in a panic to find a replacement fast. I came across these and took the gamble and soooooo glad I did. I don't normally rave about cables but these are fantastic. They are strong and durable and work perfectly with my phone and original HTC adapter.The difference between the original cable and these are miles apart. I have had 2 HTC cables fail in short periods of time and the cost of replacing is ridiculous, these are strong and durable (don't over bend) so cant damage the wires inside, they are secured well each end and do the job brilliantly.The shorter ones, which I use the most , fast charge my phone.The longer ones are great when I need to charge my phone but want to use it still, away from the socket. (also fast charge)Overall highly recommend, was delivered fast, fantastic quality cables and for the price, (which is way lower then the original HTC One charger) AND you get 5, is great ! .....would certainly buy more if i ever need them.

Das Set beinhaltet fünf Kabel in unterschiedlichen Längen, was mir ermöglicht, stets das passende Kabel für jede Situation parat zu haben. Egal ob am Schreibtisch, im Schlafzimmer oder unterwegs - es ist immer das richtige Kabel dabei.Besonders überzeugt hat mich die Nylon-Beschichtung der Kabel, die für eine beeindruckende Haltbarkeit sorgt. Bisherige Kabel, die ich verwendet habe, zeigten oft schon nach kurzer Zeit Gebrauchsspuren oder Verschleiß. Nicht so bei diesem Set! Die Kabel sehen auch nach häufiger Nutzung noch aus wie neu.Ein weiteres Highlight sind die vergoldeten Stecker, die nicht nur edel aussehen, sondern auch eine optimale Konnektivität gewährleisten. Meine Geräte laden schnell und ohne Unterbrechungen, und ich hatte bisher keinerlei Verbindungsprobleme.Die Kompatibilität der Kabel ist ebenfalls top. Ich konnte sie problemlos mit verschiedenen Geräten nutzen. Alles in allem ein hervorragendes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich kann dieses Set jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf hochwertige und langlebige USB-C-Kabel legt. Werde mir definitiv noch ein zweites Set für die Arbeit zulegen!

UPDATE: Mar 2021 At this point, we have purchased 4 sets of these cables dating back to 2018 and as recently as 2020. I can no longer recommend the cables, but in fairness, I do not know what year the cable that caught fire was produced.While using my phone in bed in the middle of the night, the charger cable caught fire at the phone charging port. I've used this charger every night, same phone - Samsung, same wall plug for at least 2 years. There were no electric storms or surges outside at the time. It had been charging beside me on the bed for 5 hours, and I had been holding/using the phone for 20 minutes. The VERY scary thing is that I usually sleep with my phone beside me. Thank GOD I was holding the phone and my pinky was resting on the charger cable. I felt it immediately get bizarrely hot, then I smelled smoke and saw a small flame in the dark at the base of my phone. I removed the cord from my phone and the wall and ran it to a sink.Things happen. I get it. I'll have to process my "lessons learned" later. Like maybe: replace phone cables annually and keep fre extinguisher by head of bed. But for now, my takeaway is not to leave a charging phone on anything flammable. Especially next to your head in bed. I'm going to be purchasing silicon pads of some sort to lay on various bedside tables and desks. What if this had happened in a child's room....in the middle of the night. Terrifying!!!!! I guess this is what is meant on the news when I hear "the source of the blaze was an electrical fire." Again, simply terrifying.2019: This is our 3rd set of these corders to order. They are so well made and stand up to the abuse our family throws at them. I never fear about the charging tip breaking off in the phone like I have some other chargers. The various lengths meet a variety of charging needs from cars, to wall chargers to charging bricks.We give these as gifts and to house guests who forgot their charger. I say "give" although they are often accidentally taken.... or left behind on our travels. We are so glad to be able to pop back onto Amazon to buy another set.They certainly aren't the least expensive charging cables, but I truly don't even look at other brands. These are high quality cables and it's not even worth risking the time/effort to try another brand.

Mi segundo pedido de cables USB de la marca Volutz.Estaba cansando de cables de plástico que mis hijos literalmente destrozaban en poco tiempo al andar conectando y desconectando sus tablets.Cables de varias longitudes, conectores que entran de manera firme y sobre todo, cable con un trenzado externo que lo hace muy resistente y evita que se enreden.Yo lo tengo claro, cuando quiera un cable bueno, opto por Volutz.Merece la pena pagar un poco más para tener un cable de la mejor calidad.
