Healthy Orchid
Bought it 4 months ago and now has a spike. Glad it survived outdoor in winter at 31F with an unheated portable greenhouse.

Beautiful tiny flowers
Charming blooms, very tiny, but exquisite. The flowers are long lasting.

Just as described...almost!
I ordered this plant on January 25, 2011. There was evidence of two previous blooming stalks, so I was confident it was of blooming size. And, a couple of months ago, it began the long-ish orchid blooming cycle! I will add some of my own photos -- the reason I titled this "...almost" was because the blossoms resemble those in the third picture, not the first. Following a suggestion in another book, I planted the orchid in a open-mouth terrarium-type setting, layering stones, shells, a bit of filtering charcoal, sphagnum moss, and orchid bark with the plant on top. This has meant virtually no watering, as I just add a bit of filtered water with 1/4 strength orchid fertilizer every month, just enough to keep the moss continually moist. It spent the winter on a west-facing windowsill, and during summer, is in an east-facing windowsill that only gets a couple hours of morning light (I live in north-central Florida, so have been a bit cautious about light. The orchid has thrived in this environment and is a pleasure to watch! It is rather dainty, as to be expected with a miniature, but just as hardy and fun as its larger cousins.
