It does what it says on the tin. It transfers SATA to USB and has saved me numerous times when my hard drive has failed and I need to recover documents from it.It's definitely a handy tool for anyone with a computer.

All I got from this was windows de-installing my u s b 3 with error codes. No help from the vendor, all I got from my inquiries was an obvious standard useless auto reply then nothing from my subsequent query.

A bit slow for the SSD (transfer rates are narrowed by this cable to 250 MB/s), but works well with standard rotational disks

Excellent gadget. For a cost of just a few pounds I used it to re-purpose a spare hard disk I had removed from an old laptop, to become a 160 GB portable USB memory stick, for use for backups, music etc. Worked first time.

Fantastic. Used this to recover data from the guts of an old portable HD and it worked wonderfully. Great little bit of kit.
