Does not have UASP (despite the product title saying it does)
This device does not have UASP. The product title is misleading.Below is the decoded USB descriptor as read from the device. A UASP capable device would have "bInterfaceProtocol 98" shown. This one only has "bInterfaceProtocol 80 Bulk-Only" (aka BOT).Besides this deficiency it works OK, but I returned it because I want UASP.--- Decoded USB descriptor ---Bus 004 Device 020: ID 07ab:0621 Freecom TechnologiesDevice Descriptor: bLength 18 bDescriptorType 1 bcdUSB 3.00 bDeviceClass 0 (Defined at Interface level) bDeviceSubClass 0 bDeviceProtocol 0 bMaxPacketSize0 9 idVendor 0x07ab Freecom Technologies idProduct 0x0621 bcdDevice 0.36 iManufacturer 4 I iProduct 5 Ext. Basic cable for Rotational disks and for LAB
A bit slow for the SSD (transfer rates are narrowed by this cable to 250 MB/s), but works well with standard rotational disks

Simple cheap way to re-purpose old hard disks as portable drives
Excellent gadget. For a cost of just a few pounds I used it to re-purpose a spare hard disk I had removed from an old laptop, to become a 160 GB portable USB memory stick, for use for backups, music etc. Worked first time.
