TEORDER HDMI V1.4 splitter
I purchased the TEORDER V1.4 splitter in conjunction with their HDMI2AV converter as a solution for connection of Virgin Media (HDCP 2.2) TiVO V6 STB to analogue kit (no HDMI) and a HD TV simultaneously.I thought it sensible to purchase items together from TeorderDirect (via Amazon) for customer support and return (if required) reasons, this proved to be a wise choice, as the V1.3 splitter used previous failed to pass the V6 signal (although worked with other HD sources). There is much opportunity for confusion with regard to HDCP 2.2 compliance info found on the web, and little which specifically relates to the V6 box.I only required this connection solution to function with the use of a HD TV (Not 4K), hence initial use of V1.3 splitter. Research indicated it would appear that HDCP 2.2 compliance only comes into play when viewing 4K content.I am unable to comment (at present) if it would function with 4K content on earlier TVs which are not HDCP 2.2 compliant. I would most certainly not expect this to work should I upgrade to a new 4K TV with only HDCP 2.2 HDMI ports, as it does not reportedly support the latest HDCP 2.2 version for 4K content (which is not backwardly compatible). I have personally only read of V1.3 splitters complying with the protocol by means of stripping the HDCP from its output, and I am unable to confirm or deny with TEORDER splitters for lack of 4K display to test.Although the splitter spec's indicate a 1A rated USB source for power, the 500mA rated port on my TV powered not only the splitter but also the HDMI2AV converter via the HDMI cable which connected them, so that only (either) one needed to be powered for them both to operate. I have utilised the USB port on the rear of the V6 box to power the units as the TV's USB port doesn't remain powered when the TV is in standby (unlike the V6 box). The splitter works well outputting simultaneously or in isolation the various HD sources tried, the only minor thing to note is that although the HD TV can utilise either O/P ports, the HDMI2AV only transmits a video signal when it is connected to O/P port 1 of the splitter. This is the case with O/P port 2 also connected to display or not, with both units powered or not. This is not a problem with my specific application, however obviously a problem if you were wanting to connect converters to both outputs. This may not be an inherent issue with this splitter model, and merely an issue isolated to the one I received but unable to confirm without a replacement.

Audio problems.
Great quality product and manages video as well as can be expected. My complaint it is does not do well with audio. Linear PCM audio does not work. I also struggled with bitstream 5.1 signals. It is a real shame. Otherwise it is a great product.

Doesn't play nicely with Humax BT YouView+ Box
Tried connecting it to my (BT branded) Humax Youview+ box then ran 2 x 20m high quality HDMI cables to Samsung Smart TVs. With the direct connection, both TVs were fine, so I know the cables are good but when connecting the splitter box, it cut the picture in & out every 10 seconds or so, especially when the second TV was viewing the content too. Presume it was because there was some HDMI Copy protection issue. After trying a number of units, settled on this Portta 2 Port 1x2 Hdmi Splitter V 1.3b compatible c1.4 3D 1080p swither 5 8 PS3 XBOX360 DVD Blu-ray which seems to play nicely with my Youview box.

Works great for gameplay recording - quality build
Only used twice, works fine so far. I bought an Avermedia LGP2 recorder and realised I couldn't record my iphone or tablet gameplay, plugged this inbetween the two and it works fine. Should work for PS4, Xbox1 and fire tv but I haven't tried those yet.The build quality is very good, solid metal and a bit of heft to it. Cable is a bit short, could be longer. Better alternative to the other £20+ devices that do the same thing.

Relieved
I bought this hdmi splitter with the single intention of sorting out some hdcp hdmi handshake issues with my TV. I can confirm it has solved this issue. I'm not saying it will work for everyone or all issues but in this particular case it solved my problem perfectly. I was dubious but really was out of options. Very very happy.

Didn't work for me
Bought to split sky tv cable and amazon fire stick cable but I can't get it to work, also bought a hdmi cable to go into the tv and this box so don't know if it's the box or the cable or both that don't work or it's the wrong equipment for this task but disappointed as I still have to plug in each cable manually when I want to swop between sky and amazon tv

Great little booster
Used to boost Sky signal when wall mounting TV and using 7.5m HDMI leads. No picture at all without the booster - perfect picture now it is fitted. As others have said the lights are extremely bright so I have taped over them!
