BIOPELLET AND FILTER MEDIA REACTOR - FR-30

This thing works great . Bio pellets tumble with low water flow .just what i was looking for

The media could not be loaded. 4 star for now because i just started using it but from all the biopellet reactor that i tried this is by far the most manageable and easy to set reactor. It came with a lot of option that other reactor didnt offer from hard pvc piping to vinyl tubing and also inlet can be twist for a more applicable setting for your tank. This reactor came with a holder that can be use as an HOB reactor. I have 1 1/2 cups of biopellets with a turned down cobalt maxijet 1200 the design of this reactor is keeping the biopellet tumbling and suspended so far so good i will update the review after a month fyi my reactor came in with a dry O ring so make sure to use a petrolium jelly before closing the easy/open lid that came with the reactor *******************************************************update on my review after couple of months both of the reactor I got still working great and no leak this is definitely worth buying if you need a good reactor dont waste your money on buying the three other reactor brand that have the initial of BM, AM and p150 if youRe planning use the reactor for biopellet

I like the from factor, and how you can connect your pump to it with different siZe hose on the same connector, but I am not sure if it is right for my bio pellets.I use NP Active and they are supposed to be gently moved, which it does in some parts but also kind of blasts in other parts. Now many of the pellets are getting stuck in the black cone (which is removable) but not desirable anyways.I guess it should still be doing its job well otherwise, and the way it can either hang on back or go right behind or be connected by hose is nice.

I have used just about every make and model of reactor on the market, this one delivers where all other have failed. Easy to set up, adding media is as simple as it gets. Finically a reactor that’s easy to open and close with no leaks. It tumbles bio pellets like nothing I have ever used with only 200 gph pump. This one works buy it you won’t regret it.

I really like the design of this reactor, and the fluid flow is exactly as advertised - provides nice and gentle agitation for the media. Unfortunately, the unit that I received leaks from the port through which you can add media. I had to seal that port shut to prevent the leaking, which essentially makes that port useless. If the manufacturer could fix this leak, I would highly recommend this reactor, but as of now just be prepared to have to seal potential leaks.

The design is the best I’ve seen and tried for bio-pellets. The downward flow keeps the pellets lightly tumbling based upon control of the water flow. It comes with a filter in the top for preventing the pellets from being sent out with the flow, but I found it unnecessary and removed it. Now I don’t have to worry about this filter slowly clogging with small detritus and having to wash it. It has a small screw plug in the top that can be removed for adding new pellets so that you do not have to remove the entire top. This is nice but it is a little small.I highly recommend this product.

Leaks and more leaks. This thing ruined the bottom of my tank stand with a slow drip. I would tighten the top, think it’s fixed, it would start leaking again a week later. It’s quite annoying. I’m getting something else.

The reactor has only been in use for about 48 hours but it is such an improvement of the Two Little Fishes unit that it replaced. These Accel Aquatics units are only about $10 more but for bio-pellets it works so much better. I could only get the pellet to tumble when first put into the reactor with the old unit, but this one immediately has them tumbling 300% more than I've ever seen in the Two Little Fishes unit.
