I'd planned a trip to Iceland in April, and I expected the weather to be like April in New York but on steroids: rainy, cold, and windy. I had a few full-day excursions planned so I needed a jacket that could handle the weather so I could enjoy my time there. The weather was pretty nasty at times, so this jacket was certainly put to the test. It was great; in spite of the extreme wind and rain I remained warm and (mostly) dry; at times the water was too much and the outer shell became soaked enough that I could feel it inside, but it dried really quickly and didn't slow me down. The hood was super useful; whenever I needed it it was there for me, and it never let me down. If a jacket can keep you warm and dry in horizontal rain and relentless wind I'd say that's a pretty good endorsement for its capabilities. I finally got to see a glacier! What a great jacket!!! The only thing is I went a little bigger with the jacket due to buying another lighter jacket with them. So a little big but love it!!! Would get another in one size smaller. Recommend warm and comfy does what it is supposed to be. Love it!!!!

I returned to the US after living in a very warm country and needed to restock all new cold weather clothing. I purchased this coat to tide me over this winter until I can can get something better at a later time, the price was in the range I was looking. I find the coat much better than expected. Temperature range where I am is at about 10 degrees to low 40's and I am NOT acclimated yet. However the coat keeps me warm, even from the package it looked acceptable, and now that it has lost the initial wrinkles it looks great. The sleeve closures are a bit loose but work well enough, there are adequate pockets exterior and interior. The zipper is sturdy and seems to be well sewn. The down is stable, inside the coat without shifting and giving cold spots, washing instructions are for normal wash and dry. I wear the coat frequently and it seems to be wearing well. At this time I give a solid recommendation for this in it's price range, I think it would do quite well in comparison with many more expensive coats of the same style and materials..

So far this jacket seems to be a pretty good deal at the price. The fit is a little bit larger than expected, but build quality seems decent. The fit is a little bulky and could be a little more tapered at the waist, but I guess this was meant to be layered with a sweater or something. I'll be taking a trip to Anchorage soon and will be bringing this along and will update after testing it there.

My husband weighs 175lbs and is just 6ft tall. The large fit him like a glove. Non bulky to wear of to travel with. Very warm. We travelled recently to Switzerland and he was very warm and protected in higher elevations against the wind, snow and rain that we had. He really likes this jacket. Also, he has longer arms and the jacket fit them perfectly. Highly recommend this jacket.

I really like the design of this jacket. The fit is nice, it looks expensive and it’s warm enough for cold days in Southern California. This jacket has all the features I have been looking for except for one. If it had it, I would have given it 5 stars. What I don’t like are the cuffs. The sleeves are about 2 inches too long on me. The cuff has an elastic that is too large, so the elastic doesn’t keep the cuff from going over my hand. So I have to fold the cuff back to make the sleeve not go over my hand. I have other jackets that the cuff has an adjustable Velcro closure with elastic as well. If this jacket had that, I would have said I finally found the perfect jacket for me. I’ve not been in the rain yet with this jacket, so I don’t know how waterproof it is yet. The wind definitely does not get through. So far our weather has been getting down into the 44 degree range and this coat keeps me warm, just wearing a polo shirt under.
