Super-bright... but at a cost
This all-metal bodied flashlight is very bright at its highest setting. You can toggle between 3-4 brightness levels. On the highest setting you may get about 3min before it powers down to lower setting to prevent overheating. And continually using the highest setting, you may get an hour to 90min off one charge. This may be okay if occasionally walking on the back porch to see what/who may be lurking in the bushes; but if going to be outside int he woods for an extended period of time without access to power, you'll definitely want to dial it down to low or have a dedicated powerbank on hand. The one button turns the light on and toggles between the 4 intensities, and (with a double-tap) the strobe function. This flashlight comes with a nice hard case and charger cable; but even with that this is a little pricey and I don't see anything remarkable about it to justify the high price tag. A good light? yes; but not the best value in my opinion.

This is a great hand-sized flashlight, with a good carrying case.
I like how this light is the size of my hand, with my fingers angled forwards under it, and my thumb resting on the power button. It has a clip, but I removed that and use the case. I hook a carabiner (not included) to a belt loop, and hook that to the case. It's completely secure, and very accessible. The case has an strap on the back with Velcro, and you can attach it to a belt. ----- It has five brightness settings: 25, 300, 570, 1200, and 2500 lumens (1 lumen = 1 candle). You click through the brightness levels, and you double click from any point to enter the 2500 lumen mode. It drops out of the 2500 lumen mode to the 1200 lumen mode after 3 minutes. You hold the power button down for 2 seconds to turn it on or off, and it turns on to the last brightness setting. You click through the levels. Double-click to enter the 2500 mode from any on position, double click again and you get a flashing mode that's 2 seconds very fast, and 2 seconds semi-fast (cycles), double click again and you get a slow SOS cycle, double click again and you get a slow flash, where it's on for 1/4 second, and off for 2-3 seconds. If you click once in a flashing mode it returns to the non-flashing mode. ----- In the stable high mode this flashlight lights up a house about 100 yards away. It has a fairly narrow central beam, and a wider dimmer beam that also lights up everything. You can see to walk around in low mode, but the range is very limited. ----- Battery life. I fully charged this, set it to high (I double clicked it to start it in the highest mode), and set a timer to look over at it every 15 minutes. The blue battery light turned red at the 2 hour mark, and at the 2:30 hour mark the red light stated flashing and it dimmed significantly. At this point I recharged it. So, this fairly small light has very good battery life. It will run for a very long time on low. This is consistent with their battery chart, which shows the 25 lumens low mode will run for over 500 hours. This gets my highest recommendation. I have reviewed several flashlights.

Compact and bright "thrower"
This is a well made, bright, and easy to carry flashlight. Its form suggests everyday use, but overall it seems tuned for "throw", or long- distance illumination. Meaning, the center is much brighter and illuminates objects farther away, but it doesn't taper off gradually to also illuminate nearby objects well.Things that I like particularly:+ Great form and size, especially for small hands. Not to large, not too thin.+ Objectively bright, with a believable amount of lumens (no such thing as a 100,000 lm torch)+ Rechargeable, with standard replaceable battery (21700 type)+ Comes with extras such as case and adapter to use 18650 batteries+ Has "on with max brightness" mode (although you need to practice the sequence)Things that I like less:- Unintuitive button: On and off require long presses, short presses cycle through brightness- Only water "resistant" with just a flap over the USB port- The brand "Soonfire" seems a bit derivative of the venerable flashlight maker Surefire

AS ADVERTISED
In my vocation and my avocations, quality flashlights are an integral and very necessary tool. With all the different and unknown brands available today it is very likely that the great majority will grossly overstate the output of their product. This flashlight, made by 'Moonfire', a company I had not heard of, is one that lives up to their ads and is also perfectly designed for a pocket, backpack, or toolbox. This light has no unnecessary features or design elements, it is simple to use with very user-friendly controls and a charging port that is very well located, a very strong pocket clip, a well-designed and perfectly sized lens, and a body size that could not be better for hand or pocket! The claim of 2530 lumens is within about 10% of what I found it to be and the beam is one of the best for a light this size, with a very good spot in the center and better than most peripheral light around the main beam. For $40 this is a must-have!

Surprisingly good light.
For the price this little light is a great value. It works well and is plenty bright. We love that it is rechargeable with usb-c. I’m also impressed by the fact you can adapt it to different batteries. Makes this light very flexible. The brightness options are adequate though we do wish it lasted a little longer on high. And if we were being choosy, it’d be nice to have an ultra low moonlight mode. But that’s nit picking. The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is the power switch. Our unit sticks a little and kind of grinds to a small degree. It doesn’t prevent it from working though.Overall it’s pretty darn great for the price. Doesn’t break the bank and provides a good amount of light. We can recommend it.
