although this is mainly for embroidery use, I have found it ideal to learn a younger child to sew buttons, ribbons etc. onto cloth as a crafting aid as it keeps the material rigid and makes it easier to handle until they have got a little more experience. good service and valu

good size for napkins i was embroidering for christmas. However, the screw hold doesnt have much more room to tighten after 1 use and it leaves your material a bit loose since it can only tighten so much after a certain point. wouldn't count on it for long term or frequent use.

I ordered a few of these for my sessions at work. We are doing some embroidery work on voiles. These have been great to use, and the quality is better than I expected. I would definitely purchase again as the service was very efficient.

This hoop is excellent. The screw is small and nice to look at, and also screws/unscrews easily and smoothly. The wood is lovely, however as I am giving this to someone as a present to display on their wall, I may sand some parts just to make it look a bit neater. Otherwise it is perfect and I'm even more happy with it after the unusable, rubbish hoops I was sent by another seller. It just goes to show that you can get good quality for a reasonable price which obviously wasn't possible for the other seller. Very pleased :)

My daughter asked me to make some small embroidered cushions for her. Having not done this for years and thrown my old hoop out I had to get a new one. This is exactly the same as my old one and although I haven't used it yet I am sure it will do a good job.

Bought this hoop to actually hang embroidery up in, and was a bit disappointed that the wood looks so cheap (we're talking really pale and a bit 'flakey' and unvarnished).That said, it only cost a couple of pounds, and arrived quickly in the post (flat packed so went straight into the postbox - yay!).

For £2.00 you can't really complain and it really is a no frills embroidery hoop, no doubt about that. The quality is as to be expected and I did find a few sharp edges and a bit of oil on the outside. Delivery is free but you will have to wait quite a long time for delivery.I've since bought one of those square Elbesse frames which I personally prefer but it's all down to personal preference.

Ordered it after I started cross-stitching, it made my life much easier. It is the right size and is very sturdy! Very good quality and I love working on it. It arrived very quickly through the post, and I started using it from the day I got it.The screw can be hard to tighten, but I do the first part by hand and then finish by making it even tighter with a screwdriver or a round knife.Would recommend, brilliant!
