Weld aluminum with any low temperature torch - even a propane torch. These aluminum welding rods are harder than mild steel which results in minimized parent material distortion during welding. You’ll also get a stronger weld than the parent aluminum material without flux or other welding material.

Works well
Fixing cracks on an aluminum crossbox and this worked perfectly. Use MAP gas to get the part to temp. Wets out nicely.I did 2" vertical and 5" horizontal with no issues and about 1/2 of a stick.

Doesn't work for large pieces
Used for handrail of swim ladder would not flow or bind to parent aluminum. Assume it was too large a heating. Used MAPP gas on parent metal till glowing and still the rods were just a putty at best. Chipped it off and got steel epoxy worked much better. Had I known I would of bought a gas bottle and wire for my mig.

I bought these because they were supposed to be "low-temp" enough to work with a propane torch. They didn't even get soft. I gave it two stars because 1) I should've known better, and 2) they probably do work fine with a slightly hotter torch than what I have.

Not for cast aluminum
Not a good product for repairing cast aluminum, but for plain aluminum works ok.
