Chef knife Newild 8 inch professional Kitchen Knife German High Carbon Stainless Steel with Ergonomics Handle, Ultra Sharp, Best Choice for Kitchen and Home

Bought a one month ago but knife blade is not straight and I guess it is not 100% stainless, already start rust. Return window closed cant't return it.

I was really excited to get this knife and it finally arrived today! Upon first unboxing the knife I noticed the polish was kind of “half done”. Further inspecting the knife I found small voids or “knicks” in the stainless blade. Even looking down the blade of the knife you could see it wasn’t 100% straight.The handle itself is beautiful and the knife came pretty sharp. I’d like to get to use it more still to get a better idea of its capabilities and to see if it keeps its sharpness. I will continue to update my review.

This is a really neat looking knife. The lines in the steel are not from it being Damascus steel FYI, it is just for show. However, I am not in the market for a knife made of Damascus steel. The blade was sharp, I want to try and sharpen it myself to see how the steel does, but I haven't done that yet. I used it to cut veggies and chicken and such and it did it all with no problems. It is not a super expensive knife, so don't expect it to be the top chef's knife or anything. I would recommend it for the price, however.

Its as described.This thing is so sharp it scares me to use it.I hope I don't make the wife too mad as I have provided her with an excellent tool to deal with me, or perhaps my truck tires depending on how stupid my decision is.The knife has a solid quality feel, the look is nice and it definitely performs well, every time I pick it up I start to wonder if I will have all 10 fingers when I put it back down. My next knife will be some German steel, if i'm not mistaken the Japanese style has a sharper angle to the edge on the blade in comparison so I would be curious how they stack up. I am not disappointed at all though and would recommend this knife to others.

This knife is surprisingly good.For the cost your not really sure what you are going to get into. That being said this knife is surprisingly sharp. It cuts tomatoes and other soft skinned fruits with just the weight of the knife.The weight of the knife is near perfect. The handle feel is great and comfortable. After long periods of use it feels like an extension of your hand.I honestly cannot recommend this knife enough. Its a great product, and shipped quick (even by amazon standards).

For the money, you can't beat this knife. I'm no chef, but after years of using cheap knives, I used a friend's much more expensive knife and realized what I had been missing. I'd wanted a good all around kitchen knife since that day, but didn't want to spend a couple hundred dollars. I didn't realize until recently that you could get this very high quality of a knife for under $50.To start, the presentation/packaging is great. I am always impressed when a company takes the extra effort to put together a good package for their product. Newild puts in the effort here, and I was actually confused when I opened the Amazon box because I didn't recall ordering anything that would come in that nice of a box (pictured).The knife feels great in the hand, solid and with the heft you'd expect. The handle has a nice wood grain to it, and the blade itself has a very visually appealing design on it. Overall, it just looks nice.The blade of course was very sharp right out of the box. Again, I stress that I am not any sort of food prep professional, and I didn't have anything like a tomato on had to try this on. I grabbed an onion and a cucumber because, well that's what was in the fridge. I had forgotten how well a quality knife cuts, it just makes such a dramatic difference. Even with my poor cutting skills, you can still see in the pictures that the knife had no problem slicing very thin pieces off with no effort.To sum it up, if you are interested enough in a new kitchen knife that you are reading this review, just buy it. You will not regret it.

I’m giving this knife a 3 star because the design has changed. It was a reorder. The one on the top was my first order and the one at the bottom was my second. I like the previous design even though it’s laser printed rather than plain polished. Also, you can see the grind polishing texture on the knife sides rather than smooth.

Knife seems very nice in appearance and feel, however after further inspection there is a significant bend in the blade that offsets the tip almost half a centimeter from the base of the blade. Makes me think that quality control probably is an issue elsewhere if they miss something that significant during the production process. I’ll be sending it back.Update: Returned and reordered the knife thinking the bend was just a mistake. Replacement had similar bend but in opposite direction. Ill be returning the second one.
