VooMote 02/111-a1 Zapper Universal Remote for iPhones, iPods, & iPads - Mount - Retail Packaging - Black

Tough to rate now. The iOS has advanced with new updates, but sadly with the collapse of the manufacturer, the support has not followed. This means it no longer works (the app it needs). When it was working it was a fantastic add-on that operated any remotely operated device from your iDevice. Hope someone can pick up the task of upgrading the app. Missing opportunity here!

The hardware portion is fine, with line-of-sight control working very well. My negative issues with the app are:- Limited hardware profiles: had to use "Teach" for 2 of my 3 devices (HDTV and Denon receiver) which is somewhat time consuming but works OK- Need separate "Rooms" to get it to apply macros and One-Touch for that particular activity- Can't copy "Rooms" and then edit: I set up a Room to Watch TV, with a macro to turn on TV, set to proper Input, turn on Receiver, set to proper Input, turn on cable box, most of which had to be "taught" to the remote.I then needed a Room to use my PS3 game console (different TV and receiver input values). Found you can't copy an existing Room and make changes, but instead had to do the entire setup all over again, including the "Teaching" part, which was bad enough to do once but to do multiple times is ridiculous.- Macros don't work completely, at least with "taught" components: the power-on step worked for both components, but not the input changes- iPod Touch battery: loaded this on an unused iPod Touch 4th gen. However, the remote and app have to stay powered to be useful, which is quite a drain on the battery. Can't power the iPod with the VooMote in place (uses the power port on the iPod).As mentioned in the title, I own a Harmony 800 that I've been using for the past 5 years or so, and it does what I needed, but it's getting old and a little flaky, and a new one is quite expensive, hence my testing of the VooMote. The Logitech software is far superior, with its ease of programming preset macros for each viewing function, plus the ability to store the remote's profile online for changes/re-downloads, etc. Also, Logitech's database of components is miles above VooMote's: all of my components were available, with all of their feature buttons, so I did no "teaching" at all and yet had complete control of each device.

Thought this Voomote would work with my iPhone 6 (with an adapter) once again, got burned. My fault though for not reading. So it's really my b for trying old tech out on "new" products.

Great item, but iPhone app to support it sucks.

Would have been nice to know the app that is required for this to work no longer exists. Waste of a purchase, I was very disappointed.

Obsolete​ now

Despite some questionable reviews, in hopes that the app had corrected issues which were highlighted in the negative reviews, I bought this product. We are an "all things apple" household complete with teenagers and even a little one who can manipulate an ipad better than I. Thus, while I would love to be writing a very positive review that this small device turned our ipads and iphones into remote controls, sadly the reality is the exact opposite. This is a piece of junk. We bought our samsung smart tv brand new last April. The VooMote did not recognize the tv. Moreover, we have dish network and just as with the tv, it was a no go. No matter how wonderful the idea of owning something that could lessen the congestion of your remote collection, do not look to the voo-mote technology as the answer.

L'applicazione per utilizzare questo prodotto, non esiste più e non si trova, quindi anche se il tuo Iphone cerca di trovare l'applicazione non trova nulla e quindi l'apparecchio non serve a nulla e non fa niente, quindi spendete i soldi per avere un tappo che oltretutto e ingombrante e fastidioso.

Ich habe stundenlang versucht, den Zapper zu programmieren – alles umsonst, eine Riesenenttäuschung. Mein relativ anspruchsvolles Audivisions-Equipment besteht aus DENON AV Surround Receiver AVR-3808 / Technisat DigiCorder HD S2 Plus / DENON Blu-Ray Player DVD-2500BT und Panasonic Plasma-Fernseher TX-P42V10E. Keines der hier genannten Geräte ist in den Listen von Zero1.tv VooMote Zapper aufgeführt. Der Versuch, den Zapper mit ähnlichen Geräten bzw. den Fernbedienungen meiner Geräte zu programmieren, brachte nur enttäuschende, d.h. keine Ergebnisse. Also muss ich nach wie vor mit den 4 Original-Fernbedienungen arbeiten, um das zu sehen, was ich sehen möchte.

E' un prodotto nato da una geniale invenzione con ottimo software scaricabile da Apple Store e l'hardware VooMote in questione molto affidabile ed economico per permetterti di duplicarne la tastiera originale prima che si rompa qualsiasi telecomando di uso domestico ed averlo di backup mediante utilizzo su iPhone,iPod,iPad.

Für mich ungeeignet. Es ist zwar preiswert im Vergleich zu anderen Produkten, allerdings hat es nicht so funktioniert wie gewünscht. Tasten nachprogrammieren hat überhaupt nicht funktioniert. Um Umzuschalten etc. muss man das Gerät samt Telefon natürlich in die Richtung der Geräte halten, das hat teilweise funktioniert (liegt natürlich an der Lage der Geräte) also für mich ungeeignet.

Apparecchio che non è stato possibile testare in quanto mancante di software; impossibile reperirlo in rete.Peccato sarebbe stato interessante usarlo.
