I’m really impressed with this product! It arrived on time and was exactly as described. The quality is great – sturdy, well-made, and it looks even better in person. I've been using it regularly and it performs just as expected, if not better. What I especially like is how easy it was to set up and use. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. It’s reliable, and I’ve had no issues at all. For the price, it’s an excellent value.I’d definitely recommend this to anyone considering it. Whether you’re buying it for yourself or as a gift, you won’t be disappointed!

A Reliable Security Camera with Smart Features and Excellent Picture Quality
If you're looking for a reliable security camera with excellent picture quality, smart features, and a well-designed app, this one is a solid choice. The auto-tracking feature is particularly impressive, smoothly following movement to capture everything in view, and the app is intuitive and easy to use. That said, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. When setting up zones, it would be much easier if you could add individual nodes to a zone rather than having to create multiple zones to cover irregular areas. It would also be great to have an option to adjust the timeout on the auto-tracking feature so the camera re-centres more quickly after losing sight of an object.Apart from that, it’s a fantastic all-round camera and definitely worth the money. I’ll be buying a couple more, and if you’re considering one, I’d highly recommend hard-wiring it instead of relying on WiFi for the best performance.

A good camera manufactured by a well-known company (TP-Link)
This is a good, solid camera, especially for the price, but not without its flaws when compared with similar security cameras I've had. Fixing the Tapo camera to the wall mount was quite fiddly and, in my case, meant standing on a ladder trying to get two very small screws into the bracket. Some sort of clip assembly might have been better. Also, the compartment holding the SD card and containing the reset button is held in place with two screws that are even smaller than those securing the camera to the bracket. Other manufacturers tend to use easily removed push-in covers to protect the SD card from moisture and I feel that would be a better option for Tapo to use.Once secured in place, the camera was easy to connect to wi-fi and power (9 volt DC), although obviously I had to drill a hole through the wall for the power. To begin with, the camera refused to format the SD card I had inserted, which came from a reputable company (SanDisk). Looking on the Tapo user forum this was a common occurrence and the recommendation from Tapo was to insert the card into a PC and check it using a utility called 'h2testw' to check for faults. I did that and no problems were detected with the card but, weirdly, when I placed it back in the camera it was formatted with no trouble. The camera takes good images and the PTZ mechanism makes it very versatile, as does the motion tracking feature. Like other motion-detecting cameras the Tapo camera is subject to false alarms, and these increase dramatically when it rains at night. (PIR cameras are much better in this respect but PIR is not usually a feature of cheap cameras.)Unlike most of the similar cameras on sale, the Tapo camera is manufactured by a big organisation (TP-Link) and seems to have better customer support, including the forum where advice can be sought if issues are encountered.

Another great tapo camera
Another excellent tapo camera. This is my 4th. Very easy and quick to set up. Local recording on SD card. Can watch all 4 at once. I have several tapo bulbs and timers. All great. Thinking of ditching my Ring doorbell subs in favour of the tapo which is subscription free as with the cameras. This one has 360 degree pan and tilt. LED lights, night vision. All have a number of options for notifications. Helps us keep an eye on what our hounds are doing.

Good value for money
Great camera, Image quality is brilliant although I haven't seen the Night vision yet, the pan and tilt function works well and you can set 'Viewpoints' up to automatically pan to those locations. I'm only just getting started on the software biut there seems to be a lot of functions such as tracking and alerts. It connected to my WiFi easily and has been stable even after running some tests that would make my old camera disconnect but this one just carried on like it was nothing

Great...
Bought this about 8 months ago and decided to wait awhile before reviewing. Camera still functions perfectly, connecting to WiFi was simple and have never had to reset it. If there's a power cut it will restart automatically when it detects WiFi. No need to sign up and pay for online video storage, just buy a cheap 512gb memory card online and stick it in. The one I put in 7 months ago is still not 50% full. Overall a great piece of kit that does what it claims to do, and does it well.

Good value for the money, but...?
I have twoTC40 outdoor cameras and I amazed at the level of technology. Setting up is easy, just follow the setup on your mobile phone or computer tablet. My only complaint is not about the camera but the SD memory card. It would be very helpful if Amazon or Tapo recommend one or two SD memory cards that worked Twice I have brought a memory card that did not work and. have to buy another. Yes I do know about the list of SD cards on the website but it's a little confusing for non technical people like me.This is my only minor complaint. If you want CCTV security then I fully recommend this camera.
