Versatile and roomy carry-on (recommend the darker colors)
Everyone in my family uses these for our carry-ons and we get so many compliments, including airline personnel asking about it. Super convenient that it opens at the top instead of folding. If you like to stuff your suitcase, this is a bit different because the hard sides make it impossible to overstuff but the bag carries a lot. I can use for a three-four day trip that requires fancy shoes, walking shoes, running shoes and flip flops plus a lot of make up. The cup holder works for a water bottle but disappointingly isn't great for Starbucks. I've never used the battery pack. I have three in yellow and one in grey and I'd recommend the darker color. The yellow shows scratches easily. Highly recommend--makes travel easy.

I got both the 20” and the 26”. I have some trips coming up and was in need of a carry-on and checked bag due to both of mine breaking.I haven’t used them yet but they seem to be made well and I like the top opening feature. The 20” was able to fit inside of the 26” for easy storage. We have limited storage so this worked out nicely. The primary reason I bought these were for the top opening feature and the extra gadgets like charging capability with a battery pack hook up, built in locking mechanism, cup and phone holder.I’m excited to use them during my upcoming trips and test out the features!

Useful, durable, pretty
This was my second piece by this company (Mixi is just an offshoot of Hanke) I had the Hanke carryon with laptop compartment on the front which was trunk style like this but awkward to get open so I sold it and bought this one instead with no regrets. I fly 2 night trips for work frequently and I have plenty of room leftover for more stuff if I took a longer trip. I’ve never had to check it, it looks just as pristine as the day I unwrapped it. I love the trunk style opening for hotel luggage racks which are not well designed for the clamshell style suitcases. I’ve had no problem with the cup holder and the charger while slow does work (you have to buy your own battery to plug in on the inside to charge through the port on the outside). Being so flat it’s great for setting things on it and they don’t tip over/fall off. Not sure if it’s the suitcase handle or my personal item but the trolley sleeve on my personal items has been a kind of tight fit.

Top opening with a cupholder is a winning combination! Just make the cupholder bigger.
I haven't traveled with this yet but it has a lot of promise! The only thing I am disappointed in is the cupholder size. I wish it fit my insulated coffee cup and my shaker bottle, although it seems like I might be able to get by while just sitting and waiting at the gate. I wouldn't trust it if I was moving through the airport. At least not the shaker bottle.I did a lot of research and I purchased this product because of the spining wheels, size, top opening, drink holder, and charging ports. In that order, although that cupholder is what I like best!It seems that the measurements given may be wrong. I think I remember it said it was 24 inches tall with the wheels. It is 22 inches. Although they should be accurate in the description they give, this actually makes it better for me. I wanted something that will reliably fit in an overhead bin. I've heard that they've standardized the measurements to 22" x 14" x 9". This meets that requirement, although I'm skeptical that they've standardized anything. This will work in most instances though.I'm happy with the color I got although I wish they had had more to choose from.I hope it will be durable. TBDI don't have feedback about the weight at this point because I have not packed it out yet so I don't know what the final weight will be. Of course everything's a trade-off for the features you want.Feeling hopeful! I love the features of this suitcase and I hope they continue to make it and continue to improve on it starting with a bigger cupholder.

LOVE!!!
My ancient carry on soft side bag broke on my last trip, so I've spent countless hours reviewing and searching for the best replacement. The biggest complaint about luggage is the zippers break, and that's especially bad for hard shells. I also didn't like the design of the hardshells that zip in the middle with no access pocket on the outside like most soft sides have. That means that you have to expose all your stuff with 2 heavy sides to manage to open it. And if you have the expansion zipper system, that's even more problematic because it puts extra stress on the zippers. No wonder they break.Pros: THIS case has solved that zipper problem and it offers a lot of great features too. The cup holder is fantastic, very sturdy, stable, and it frees up my hands when need be. The wheels roll like butter in every direction. The extension telescoping handle is very sturdy too, no problems extending or retracting it. Don't use it to pick up your bag and you'll be fine. The bag has 2 handles top and side to make picking it up easy. The TSA locking system works beautifully and is well designed. The pop out bag holders and phone/ipad holder up by the handle is great, although I have no idea how much weight they can hold. That information would have been helpful in the instructions but alas, there weren't any. I love the deep box design so that it opens like a "lid" so all your stuff doesn't get exposed or fall out, and that "lid" is very light weight, with lightly padded pockets inside for organizing. Perfect to hold things you need easy access to. The shell itself is very sturdy, probably as close to unbreakable as can be. I read that magic erasers remove scuff marks easily, but I haven't needed to test that yet. As far as how much I can pack in it, it is a bit small but with compression cubes and a deep box design, I don't expect to have any trouble once I figure out how much fits and how to organize it. In fact I like this luggage so much I'm considering getting the 24" size for extended trips.Cons: The phone charger system has easy access with a cover to protect it so that's good. BUT no instructions were included in how to use it which is frustrating. The battery pack isn't included, so I bought a separate pack. The anker battery pack I chose didn't come with a charger so I had to go back and order one of those before I can even test it! wth? sigh. Because of that I haven't had a chance to use or test the phone charger thingy. I guess it works, if I can figure out how to connect everything. The luggage didn't come with instructions in how to use it. There are wires inside with 2 different plugs, but it's not clear to me how it all connects.Wishes: MIXI - please include instructions on how to use the battery pack and tell us how much weight the bag/phone holder on the handle can hold safely. That's ridiculous to not include that. It would be great if you bundled the luggage with the items we'll need too to make it easy. This kind of frustration is not the experience you want your customers to have, am I right? Also, I'm now searching for a duffle underseat stackable bag to fit on top of this one. It would have been great if MIXI offered them as a bundle or at least as an option designed to fit this luggage. So far I've tried 5 different underseat options from different brands, and am not delighted with any of them.Bottom line is, I LOVE THIS LUGGAGE! I've had a great time showing it off to friends, and everyone wants one too. :-) I have not had the opportunity to test it in the real world on a trip yet, but I anticipate no problems when I do.
