My Garmin mount broke when crossing a railroad track. The clamp part was still good, so I needed a replacement for the mount part. These fit perfectly and hold my computer more firmly than the original before it broke.

I use these with longer m3 countersink screws and nuts to make my own 3d printed mounts. They work perfectly and hold Garmin and mount-compatible devices securely.

Original Garmin insert (top) is thicker and has threaded inserts. It also has bosses below to locate it securely.These have neither feature and cannot be secured to the Garmin base mount because there is nothing to secure the screws in the insert.Waste of money but cheap enough to toss rather than fuss with a return...

First impressions:These are accurate mounts. They are hard to attach to a Garmin unit with just your hands. What I'm going to be using these for is making a charging stand to attach these to. The idea is to put your Garmin device in the stand and plug it in to charge. I've been simply laying the units on the workbench while charging. Not ideal. This would get them up and out of the way.Will add photos once the charging station is complete.
