Sent for these sample pots as was unsure as to shade required. Arrived promptly and undamaged, each of pots has label at base which gives the shade and is coded for warm, neutral and cool shades. If you invert pot and tap powder into lid it gives a decent amount to use. Coverage is good and the powder has a lovely silky feel and does not irritate my sensitive spot prone skin. I found the differences between all shades very subtle and most of them blended well with pale skin tone - so its tricky to pick the best match - but eventually settled on one. The advantage of this is that the pots are all useable as foundation / concealer- i.e. not wasted - and the ones that were too pale are good for lightening undereye bags. I deducted a star for the price - quite expensive. It would be nice if AW offered a voucher or price reduction on first purchase of definitive colour pot after you have bought these testers.

Lovely texture and colour (I ordered one for colour but it wasn't quite right so will be ordering another). I only buy vegan cruelty free products so this is right up my street!

As someone with very pale skin, I have always had issues finding a match. I'd asked for advice on here about which shade to choose for my skin, which was very helpful, but in the end I bought the sample pack. I'm glad I did, as I now realise I am pale,but with warm yellow undertones so the Porcelain shade was the perfect match for me. I let my friend use the remaining samples, and English Rose (such a a pretty name) was perfect for her. She's ordering a sample pack to give to her sister as a gift :) The other shades didn't suit our skin as well, not a reflection on those shades at all just a comment on how it's important to get the right shade for the skin its beautifying, but hey that's why the sample pack was ideal. The foundation has high pigmentation, and the quality was silky smooth. If you have pale skin, I think you will you find your match. It's so refreshing to not only have a foundation for pale skin, but a choice of pale. I have waited to post this review as I have sensitive skin and wanted to see how my skin reacted, but after a month of using the product, my skin condition has actually improved. I think because it is so light, you don't need to use a lot to get even coverage. I would say using a good quality brush to apply this will really help. I think this will become a staple of my daily makeup routine. Love it. I'm really happy that the product is vegan as this is important to me.

No different to any other mineral foundation I have used, and this one is not cheap. Looked better applied over foundation but not much good on its own. I have given this product two stars as at least it didn't irritate my skin at all. Would not purchase again.

The very finely milled powder is luxuriously soft, and I found it melts into the skin effortlessly and creates a very natural-looking finish. If you are pale with pink cool undertones, English rose should be a perfect match. If you are warm however, this will not be a match, so be sure to choose the right pale shade. What I can say is no mater which shade you get ( I tried 3 ) the quality of the foundation is excellent. Coverage is very good, and is buildable and looks natural and a little goes a long way.The other benefit from using Amber Ward mineral foundation has been the improvement to my skin. no breakouts. I recommend this foundation range for pale skin, just be sure to select for your skins undertones, if you are unsure try a sample pot first.

Too light for me in colour.....and pot really tiny.....

After contacting Amber for some very helpful advice, I tried the sample pot of the English Rose foundation. I have very dry, sensitive skin prone to eczema and not only was this the perfect shade for me, it caused absolutely no irritation whatsover. By the end of the day the foundation had lasted very well and my skin felt great, soft and comfortable. I also got the Passionista lipstick which is a beautiful shade and I would definitely recommend it, if, like me, you have dark hair and green eyes.
