2010 release from the Australian Punk band. Violent Soho began playing music together in their teens, where they embraced an '80s and '90s Punk/Grunge impact to their music without disregarding the ethic that ideally follows from such influence. From its beginnings, playing shows at outer-suburban pubs and rehearsing and recording demos in their parents' garages. Violent Soho has toured extensively across the globe as well as played shows with such bands as Dinosaur Jr, Built to Spill, Trail of Dead, The Black Keys, The Bronx, Black Francis, Dead Weather, The Grates, Grinspoon, Cosmic Psychos, Celibate Rifles, Hard-Ons, and others.

One of my favourite albums ever that I own
One of my favourite albums ever that I own. No one has ever heard of this band (that I know) but I think they should. Their music parallels that such as Nirvana and is key to the modern grunge scene. The lyrics are angry, the songs are of decent length and there is a variety of styles on the album although it maintains the same sense of sound. I have listened to this album so many times.

Grunge still lives!
How have I never come across this band/album before! As a lover of the grunge sound since its inception in the mid 90's this album sits comfortably with any of the big hitters of that time. All the sounds are there, pace, heaviness, melodies.. Even the albums one true ballad could easily have been on 'melon collie...' . Superb stuff!

More nu-grunge
It's just like the early 90's never went away with this lot although I expect most of them were wee nippers when Cobain et al ruled the airwaves. What with this album and the Dinosaur Pile Up album we have been given some of the best grunge-esque tune-age around in years in the last few months.Seriously, sludgey riffs, yelped vocals and all by a band who really know their stuff and their instruments. The songs themselves stand up on there own or as a collection. All in all a cracking album even if I do say so myself. Grunge never died, now where did I put that plaid shirt?

Buen disco
Grupo poco conocido pero con buenos temas. En mi opinión son algo así como una mezcla entre The Vines y Nirvana, con un sonido bastante potente.Temas recomendables entre otros son Here Be Dragons, Son of Sam, Muscle Junkie o Love is a Heavy Word.Si te gusta el rock de los 90 te gustará Violent Soho.Comprado a 11'53€!!

Love it!
I can't get Mona Lisa out of my head. Great song. The other tracks are enjoyable too. Hopefully the artist will come out with more songs/albums.
