Natural Grass-Fed Whey Isolate Protein Powder, NSF Certified, Decadent Chocolate, 4 Pound

I discovered BodyLogix quite by accident at my local discount superstore's supplement section about 6 years ago.100% organic whey from grass-fed cows and sweetened with Stevia. And for a price that I thought was a mistake at the time!I have been taking supplemental protein powder for decades to assist in strength gains and body composition. Early on, I was fooled by the big boy companies like Bev Intl that my gym pushed or Gold Std that everyone else raved about. But BodyLogix IMHO is just as good if not better than those brands, yet the prices on BodyLogix products are more than fair. I have noticed their prices creep up in last few years, probably due to increasing recognition for being a damn fine product!I have only ever tried the Vanilla and Chocolate, but in the last year or so, I strictly buy the vanilla and add cocoa powder if I want chocolate. This give me more options to change it up. I will make a mocha protein shake in the morning with the powder, my coffee and cocoa. And in the afternoon for example, I will do a vanilla and strawberry shake using 1% milk.About I year ago, I started ordering the isolate version through Amazon. The product has always arrived in a timely manner and has been consistently reliable in quality and results. Isolate is naturally more expensive and I now buy this 5 lb version. Yes, $80US plus is a lot of money, but try to buy this in other products and you'll pay close to double, and IMHO get inferior products.Do yourself a favor and discover BodyLogix. You won't be disappointed.Note: Like 90% of the flavored protein powders on the market today, this is very sweet. I don't mind that but some folks prefer less sweet pp so jus a heads up.

Updating my 2017 review; product now back up to 5 stars!!Glad to say the powder is back to the high quality it was when I started using it. Delish!! High protein with no sugar added, just stevia sweetener. A year or so I had to stop buying it. It would clump up like a glob of chewing gum in my liquids (milk or water), but this recent 5lb jug has the same mixing ability as the old formulation. I think this is the best protein powder out there (on par with my favorite unsweetened pea protein but with better flavor). I am recommending this to all my friends again, as it’s back to top of the list.Updating my review Jun 2017 because the last product I received in April is a different consistency. They practically ruined what was an excellent product.This new recipe is a much coarser mix than it used to be and now clumps up into an annoying blob after I add into my skin milk. Almost like flour in water, turning doughy; I can actually pick the blob out of the liquid with my fingers. It takes way too much effort to smash the blob on the inside of my cup while stirring in an attempt to get it mixed.What a shame. I don't think I'll be ordering it again. Hope they go back to the original recipe with those ingredients. I should rate it one star but can't because of it's low sugar high protein content but I'm not happy at all with the consistency now.Sorry, but bye bye Bodylogix. At least until you revert to the original blend.I prefer this isolate over their other products. Lower sugar & lower calories. Clumps less than most other brands. Mfg process seems better than other brands (ie, filtration). I just reordered 2 more jugs. A bit pricey but ... You are what you eat. I exercise daily & prefer consuming better products that I use daily so worth paying a little more. You can buy the sugar loaded whey protein elsewhere for $10/lb or the healthier stuff for maybe $15-$16/lb. I dont mess around with my health so I go for the better products that I consume. This tastes very good; not overly sweet which is very tough to find. A very balanced flavor ( I always get vanilla).

I've tried a lot of protein powders with varying results. I have a sensitive stomach - so I go for Whey Isolate, and as little lactose and soy as possible. Basically, the smaller and more natural the list of ingredients, the better for me. This protein powder does contain some lactose and soy, but it doesn't bother my stomach the way other protein powders do.This protein powder is a little on the sweet side for me - so I just mix it with more water to dilute that a bit. I put it in a glass of icy cold water and mix it well with a fork and I don't have issues with it dissolving like other reviewers have said. Works even better in a shaker bottle. For the price, it's a pretty good option. This won't replace my normal protein powder. My favorite protein powder contains no soy, is 98% lactose free, has BCAAs and has a better taste to me (not nearly as sweet). But I will use it in combination with my usual powder because it's much cheaper.
