Rothco Kids Uncle Milty Travel Vest

We purchased this as part of a costume for our 7 year old son…..he wanted to be a park ranger. This vest is extremely well built and very rugged!! He’s very active and plays outside a lot and he wears this every chance he gets!! You will not be disappointed with this vest!!

The zipper was about 5” apart from being able to zip it up. I wear between a large and XL T-shirt and this is about 2 or 3 sizes too small.Other than that, it looks and feels nice.

This explorer vest is exactly what I wanted. My grand girl uses it for hiking, fishing and just plain exploring. Well made, right amount of pockets, can’t see how else it could be improved. Wish I had one as a kid.

I LOVE THIS LITTLE VEST! Our son is super into dinos and for his birthday, we created him a paleontologist kit. No kit like that should go without a vest like this. I put some iron-ons and filled the pockets with a compass and some tiny dinos. We got a small - he was a size 5 at the time, a size 6/7 now, and I am sure it will fit him for another few years. It's the type of item that will grow with him. It is a little wide for my taste, but is useful in that he can throw it over any kind of shirt/sweater/zip up hoodie. So, the sizing is perfect for him. This is his go to "costume" item for when he is doing anything dino, outdoors, camping, fishing, or just roaming around the house feeling like a paleontologist. The pockets on the bottom are a fairly good size. The others are a little small, but still fit things he finds outside or in his toy box of tiny things (marbles, rocks, Legos, etc.).The fabric is of good quality and over the past year has shown so sign of wear and tear and he uses it often enough. It gets thrown around every now and then and has been washed a few times. I have seen a few others in stores that are similar but seemed really flimsy in fabric. The only other quality one that I have seen was at Dick's sporting goods - but that one was really short.

Fits my tall and slim 7 year old well with room to grow. The pockets are very functional. No complaints at all.

I purchased this vest for my nephew, who is a Cub Scout, soon to be Boy Scout. My nephew spends time at outdoor camps, enjoying fishing and archery. He's looking forward to using this vest. The size choice was a good fit for him too--Youth L. This is the second time I've purchased this vest. My son has one too that proved very useful during his Boy Scout days. I washed and line-dried my son's vest without issue. Quality and usefulness of the vest make it a good value for the dollar, in my opinion. I did not experience any problems with ordering this product or receiving it in a timely manner.

I used to have this vest a long time ago and I'm glad I found it again. I ordered the X-Large which I thought would fit since I wear either a large or X-Large in shirts or jackets. But this X-Large vest was just a little bit too small. I thought X-Large would be somewhat "baggy" on me but it wasn't at all. I'm gonna keep it cause I like the arraignments of the pockets. Just a heads up, if you're used to wearing an XL be prepared that this might be a bit smaller than you expected. Still keepin' it though...haha.

I bought 2 of these vests upon request of my kiddos who wanted a more "professional" look when we go on nature study outings and field trips. I have a similar vest and they've always wanted their own ... a place to store their hand lens, their nature journal and colored pencils. This one is perfect! There is even a huge pocket on the back where they can stuff a light weight jacket if they get a little hot. The small white 'fly' fabric is removable, if desired. My kiddos are ages 8 and 6 ... we ordered a size 'Medium' for each. While the vests are slightly large now ... they will be able to wear them for a long time. We are very pleased and have encouraged our other nature study club members to order one as well.
