Smells very stale
Firstly, the oil came in wonderfully packed, like all items from Captain Fawcett's. The gold flakes are a nice addition, a wink towards the user, as they don't actually show in the beard, which is great!Unfortunately, I think I may have received a faulty bottle. The smell of this oil is hard to describe... You know how, when you buy a low quality beard oil, and after a few months it completely loses its nice smell, leaving this strange smell of dust and stale clothes? That's exactly how this one smells, at least the bottle I received. Which is very surprising and disappointing, because other Captain's oils I tried and use daily - they all smell wonderfully! Very disappointed with this one.

A lovely gift
Purchased for my hubby as I little gift as he does reviews and product testing for moustache companies , he loved the gold. I think its a lovely gift and not overly a bad price for a brand oil
