My pet reached 13 years old
Always wanted one of these growing up, bought it for my daughter, but it quickly became my tomogatchi pet. Love all the challenges you can do to get your pet more stars and strength. Perfect for young children and teaching responsibility. Easy to use, and screen is clear. Sometime switching between different option are a bit hard to see what is selected, but nothing to just push the select button and see what opens. Many color design for different people. Great for gift as it lasting.

Awsom
Shh! Zuzu is sleeping! This Tamagotchi is awsome, I love the colors and the complexity for such a small thing, definitely for kids and adults, a little expensive but I think it’s fine.

I Feel Like I'm 9 Again. There Are a Couple Of Things to Bear in Mind, Though
This thing is exactly as I remember it - almost. The sound might be louder than it used to be, although my evidence for that is purely anecdotal so don't quote me on it. What certainly is different, however, is that it tends to distort occasionally for some reason. It isn't a big deal, and it may very well be just a problem with my individual unit, but it's just something to keep in mind. The sounds themselves, as well as all of the other functions, menus, and activities, are pretty much note-for-note and pixel-for-pixel what they used to be nearly 20 years ago (holy smokes, right?), and I don't know about you but I'm all here for it."Wait, Steve - What do you mean 'Pretty much?'"Well, Old Sport, what I mean is that there's one function that we all used as kids that simply is no longer present, for some reason...The "PAUSE" feature.Yep. Remember when you were a kid and you had to go to school in the morning, and you couldn't bring something like this with you because if you got caught with it they'd not only confiscate it but also remind you of how you've offended Jesus with this grave transgression of school policy? And do you further remember what we all had to do as a result? We proceeded to press the left and middle buttons simultaneously in order to trap our little digital son or daughter in that strange state of suspended animation where they'd stare at you with that look of subtle betrayal until you reversed that same action later that afternoon. This way, he or she wouldn't defecate themselves to death whilst you were at school getting yelled at by nuns all day. It was an elegant solution for a more civilized age.Well... That's apparently gone now... Sort of.You can mash those two buttons until your face looks and sounds like Tobey Maguire's in the Spider-Man 2 train-stopping scene and your child will continue to dance on the screen as normal, free from the shackles of that timeless void their ancestors once knew. Moreover, the option wasn't even moved to a different menu on the device. They literally have just dropped the feature entirely. The reasons for this were probably written somewhere in the Library of Alexandria. So, what do you do? Do you just leave the egg on your desk un-paused as you shuffle off to school or work and hope you don't return home to an angel floating on the screen? As it turns out, there's another, unofficial way to pause the device - Simply hit the middle button to pull up the clock, and then hit the left and right buttons simultaneously to activate the "Set time" mode on the device. It can be left in this mode seemingly indefinitely - or at least for several hours at a time - so that when you're back home you can just set the time again right quick, confirm the settings, and then proceed as normal. So even though you can't pause it like in the old days, you can still do it another way and your loveable little alien may live to see another day.So if you want one of these, barring any damaged speakers like mine evidently has, it'll be exactly as you remember - The "pause" method is simply a bit different. Definitely not a deal-breaker, though, so I'd still recommend this product if you were initially interested in buying one again after all these years.

Very disappointed... little flaw no solution
I was so excited to receive my daughter's Tamagotchi! The packaging was excellent, and the delivery was fast. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and I was immediately impressed. However, once my daughter started to play with it, we noticed a noticeable imperfection on the digital screen. This is quite disappointing, especially considering the positive reviews and the price point, which was a bit higher than other similar toys. The digital flaw makes the screen difficult to read and detracts significantly from the overall enjoyment of the toy. While the initial experience was flawless, this screen issue is a major letdown and impacts the core functionality.I hope the manufacturer can address this type of defect in future products, as the concept and initial impression were fantastic
