Very Good Product
So, my ragdoll cat has been puking up hairballs off and on over the last few months. Over time, it became more frequent and now has become a daily occurrence. And of course, since all cats seem to manage to hold in their pukes until they can reach the carpet, they also leave those horrible puke stains that, for the life of me, can't get out of the carpet. I finally found this Cat Lax 2 and hoped for the best. The package was delivered on a Sunday, which was awesome. I love when our deliveries are not delayed by the weekend. I gave my cat the recommended dosage first by putting some on my finder and letting him smell it. He wouldn't go for it. The instructions say that if your cat won't take it, to put some on their paw so they can lick it off. I tried that but it looked like he was going to take off and leave tracks all over the house. So I had to wipe it off his paw and instead I just put some directly in the back of his mouth. The first day, he puked. I gave it to him again the next day...he puked. BUT, by the third day, he stopped puking. I gave him a dose daily for the first 5 days. After that, I've been giving it to him every couple of days. It's been a couple of weeks now and he hasn't coughed up any hairballs! He's not thrilled with the taste of it, meaning he won't take it on his own, but it isn't hard for me to give it to him and only takes a second. All in all, I'm very happy with this product and recommend it if your cat is having problems with hairballs. Here is a picture of my cat.

Kitten needed help and this did the job!
Got for a little white kitten I rescued, she had digestive issues that cause constipation and every other thing I tried either did nothing or did very little, I was beginning to worry so I brought her back to the Vet and they gave her an enema and it did work but she HATED IT! It was so hard to watch and hear but it did work but only for the next few days before she couldn't us the bathroom again I new she would probably have to go back and get an enema again but I didn't want to put her through that again if I didn't have to so I talked to my vet and they told me to try this and if this doesn't work within 24/48 hours to come back in, so I got this and... IT WORKED! like some of the other reviews on here she didn't want to eat it on her own but instead of putting it on her paw to lick I just put a VERY small amount on my finger and put it on her gums, she ate it and soon she was using the bathroom. I only have to give it to her 2 other time the next following week and now over a month or so later she's doing PERFECT! she doesn't need anything for constipation anymore she's a happy healthy kitten now and Loves to play with her toys and New brother. The only thing is now I have a basicly Full tub of this stuff with no need for it anymore but I guess I have it if I ever need it again.

Best hairball control gel I have found
This product was suggested by my vet after several months of frustration dealing with hairballs and constipation with my long-haired cat. He refuses to let us brush him. On the suggestion of the vet tech, we started giving it to him through a medication syringe. It is thin enough to go through a syringe, but not a liquid. Putting it on his paw and shutting him on a inside back porch so he didn't track it through the house didn't work. He simply "flung it" onto the walls. However my short-haired cat immediately licks it off her paws, so obviously likes the taste. It takes 1 to hold the male cat and a 2nd to squirt the gel, but it works well.

She loves it!
Our elderly cat had reached a point of vomiting hairballs at least once a day, sometimes three or four times, in spite of getting a different brand of hairball formula several times a week. Recently we decided to try Cat-Lax, mainly to save some money, with the idea of trying different brands looking for anything that would help. Boy did we luck out! From the first day of using this product, our little girl has been vomit-free, except for one small hair ball. That happened when we cut back to dosing two to three times a week. Since we've gone back to dosing every day, we haven't seen any new hairball activity. As added bonuses, her appetite has improved and she doesn't cry anymore when I pick her up. I definitely will be sticking with Cat-Lax. Why spend more money on something that doesn't work? This had been a Godsend for us, our baby and our poor carpet.

My girls didn’t like it
I have two cats, and one is a little more picky than the other. She didn’t like this at all… would have none of it. The other seemed to like it. It’s pretty thick. I (and my girls) prefer the TOMLYN Laxatone Tuna-Flavored Hairball gel. Both cats seem to like it, and it’s not quite as thick, so it’s easier to manage out of the tube.

Best hairball treatment and great for pills
Originally got this from our vet and my wife and I have been giving this to our cats since 1995. Our cats actually demand more than the recommended dosage--put some on a finger and the cats will quickly lick or even chew it off. Does an amazing job, totally or virtually eliminating hairballs, even by our long-haired Persian. (The brand changed years ago, but the cats never noticed. We use the only one available these days, made by Dechra.)Administering a daily steroid pill to one of our cats would be impossible without Cat Lax. If you've ever tried to give a cat a pill you understand! We cover the pill in Cat Lax and he swallows the whole thing, he even starts asking for the pill/Cat Lax if we're behind schedule. Really.Because we can't find Cat Lax in local stores, we have tried virtually all of the other hairball treatments we could find (Petromax, Laxatone, etc.), but Cat Lax is the only one our cats like and look forward to. We have two cats now, five since 1995, so we just order this stuff regularly. I'm not a spokesperson, but using a product that my cats actually love and is good for them compels me to let everyone know.
