Fieldline is greedy and only out for themselves.
If you like to feel cheated on a purchase, choose Fieldline/Outdoor Group/ TORG/SOG or any of their other subsidiaries. They won't fail to disappoint you. This backpack is defectively manufactured. The seams at the shoulder strap keeps ripping out after very light use over about 30 days.Lifetime Warranty claims are painstaking. You will pay double what you spent on the original purchase to ship the item back to Fieldline. For this $29 backpack, it will cost you $23 to ship it back to Fieldline to have them fix a manufacturing error. The Fieldline warranty representative admits that the average cost that a customer will pay for the warranty claim is at least $20 on top of what the customer already paid so that the customer can receive an equally defective item.Who wants to spend double the original cost to receive yet another defective backpack that you will have to do another warranty claim for when it tear? Do they not understand that it is evil of them to handle manufacturer mistakes like this?Fieldline/TORG/Outdoor Products customer service are foreign. Communications are slow, inadequate, and often they don't respond back to you.Fieldline is just a terrible company producing cheaper and cheaper faulty products that hurt their customers!

A Great Day Pack
Bought this bag to use when we go to theme parks for the day. This bag allowed for me to hold two towels, a change of kids clothes, about 10 bottles of water, sun screen, hats, snacks, first aid (bandages, ointment, ibuprofen, etc.), and about 20 other miscellaneous things. and still had plenty of room left over. But, the bag is still compact enough where it doesn't look odd.The zippers are really secure and appear to be reinforced well, the pockets are a great size for various things, the shoulder straps & carry handle are cushioned really well too because the straps don't dig into your shoulders.A perfect sized day bag that is made really well.

Falls apart at the top of the shoulder strap!!!!!!
I purchased this for my son thinking it would serve the same purpose as the SOG backpack. My son had his SOG backpack for 3 years of continuous use during school. Mind you he keeps everything in his backpack and doesn’t use his locker. His SOG backpack finally bit the dust with the zipper falling apart after the middle of his fourth school year using it. I ordered this backpack instead of the SOG because it was out of stock at the time and he needed one desperately. Needless to say within a week this backpack started falling apart the top of the shoulder strap. I requested to return and have another one sent and guess what! It did it again! I will be returning this product for a refund and ordering a SOG backpack again. I would like to return it but now it's not giving me an option!!!!!!! So I am stuck paying for a piece of crap.

Poorly Made
I really wanted to enjoy this bag. It has plenty of pockets and is very comfortable, unfortunately it is poorly constructed. I purchased this bag for a trip to Walt Disney World. After the first day of use, one of the straps came loose from the buckle and now I can only use one of the straps instead of both. I wanted to do a warranty exchange, but since it has been a month I can no longer exchange the product. I have included a picture of the damage and just don't understand how it occurred. The bag was carrying less than 10lbs of items and shouldn't of ripped like this. Now I have to tryand bring it in to a tailor to try and fix it.

Good bag for the price!
This bag is definitely what you pay for. If you are expecting a high quality, super tacti-cool bag, go get yourself a S.O.C. or 5.11 bag. However, if you're just looking for a casual day bag that is still functional and isn't look like a hipster dandy manpurse, you can't go wrong with this. I bought this bag in particular for college. I have an SOC bag that is great for trips or weekend excursions, but is too large for my tastes to have to lug around campus. This bag is a nice size. It fits standard sized notebooks well, and the inner camelbak pocket fits my iPad perfectly. Plenty of other pockets for pencils, phone chargers, etc.My biggest complaint with this bag however, is that the shoulder strap adjusters come loose very easily. Every time I put the bag on, they slide loose. I ended up tying a loose knot and folding the remaining bit of strap into the retainer band, and that keeps them put, but it is annoying not being able to adjust the straps without undoing a knot to hold it in place. The only other defect I found with this bag is that one of the zipper pull strings came off right out of the packaging due to missing the plastic end that holds it, but I have since just tied that back on.Like I have mentioned, for the price, I think this is a good bag. If I expected a high quality bag, I would have paid for one. This has definitely met my expectations and I am pleased with my purchase. My photos depict the bag next to an iPad mini for scale, and the other is of the bag in more natural light to get a better sense of its color. It's a nice coyote tan, not too yellow, and not slightly pinkish like the photo with the iPad might have you believe. The patches are mine and did not come with the bag.
