Altalube Artificial Tear Ointment, 3.5g

I changed from using liquid eye drops to this ointment and it has made a huge difference. I was suffering from dry, irritated, painful, burning, teary and stinging eyes. The ointment remains as a protective layer for a much longer time than eye drops. It is greasy so less is more.

Good quality and good price.

I unfortunately couldn't use this. It didn't list lanolin as an ingredient, but I had a reaction to it; i.e. stinging in the eye and redness. Maybe too much mineral oil.

Good value and fast delivery from this supplier on a moderately priced monograph drug.

I have extremely dry eyes, and go through this stuff like crazy. The brand name products are great, however, who can affort $15-$18 per tube when you go through a tube at least once a week!? I have also tried a couple of very inexpensive products, and they are just so "goopy". This is a good product for its cost. Somewhere in the middle as far as quality goes, but certainly one I could stick with long term.
