Received these recently. The body of the cup is one-piece silicone and they expand/collapse as shown. Not much real-world experience with it (hence only 4 stars), but filled it with hot coffee, screwed on the cap, snapped down the drink tab and inverted it--not a drop leaked out. The base seems suitably stable.

All in all it holds liquids without burning you. I do not recommend this for coffee or anything flavored or colored. The taste/smell doesn’t go away with washing.Also, make sure you are careful putting the lid on. I almost burned myself because it wasn’t aligned properly and it looked like it was.

I was looking for a cup to pack when I go backpacking and traveling. its great since it collapses down and takes up less room.

Clever idea to reduce plastic waste. I found it a bit difficult to unfold and use. Even though I was holding it by the middle ring, I managed to squirt some latte foam on the woman at the next table! When you're closing it up, if you accidentally take the top ring off, and have to put it back on, it's impossible to line it up well enough to screw the cap on tightly.

I only gave 3 stars because I haven’t used them yet but I’m sure they will work well for our camping trips

This cup is perfect if you make your own smoothies and put in the freezer to take to work the next day. And also great for hot coffee. Fits perfect in any cup holder. I love this cup and then you can collapsed it down so very easy to store away. Just bought another set.

They collapse to a nice size without having to remove the grip band, unlike many others I saw when shopping for these. That means there's not another piece to keep track of...or lose. I like the available colors, too!

This cup is perfect for carrying with you when space is at a premium. I'm using it for hot tea when in hotel rooms and it's been great, easy to clean, easy to pack.
