Great bang for the buck!
Great headset for the price! Mic is clear and fits comfortably. Audio is loud and on the "crisper" side of the tonal quality. What I mean is that it's not bassy or boomy, and not mid-range focus, but has an audio quality to make things sound Crisp like a treble boost. Now don't compare these to active headphones in the $150 price range or higher. Those have way more features and DSP for virtual surround modes. But for gaming on my Switch, I like the fact I can completely tuck away the mic and then gaming on Xbox its more than enough for me especially if you turn on Windows Sonic mode for headphones. Like I said... great for the price and hold up well. Had headphones double this price break on me in a few months so I am very happy with these. Once these finally go I will be purchasing the next model up to see if any better.

Headset is gas
Headset has really good Audio. When it comes to listening audio the sound is very clear and has very nice bass to it. The speaking audio from the mic is also very good. Does bring in some background noise. But nothing that’ll leak through party chat or something like that. It also fits very good on the head and ears. Very lightweight. When the mic is all the way in just make sure to still mute it or people will still hear you talking.

Much needed upgrade!
Needed Upgrade!!I went from the Astro A30’s to these, and I’m so glad I did!!It sounds incredible with music, but more importantly… I can hear everything in games!! I’m talking about hearing enemies from 3 houses down in COD!!Super easy to set up, understand, and start using!I would say they are priced perfectly. They are incredible, comfortable, and they sound elite!

Set up actually awful, but otherwise, great quality for the price. Excellent microphone.
No instructions come with this headset, and they are not exactly a "plug and play" type of thing for PC. You're going to need to download their "Steelseries GG" program to get any sort of equalizer control, which you're going to want. This requires you to create an account with them to use it. You might need to twist your headphone to audio cable connection to make sure it "sets in place", as per a youtube comment that had a multitude of replies on it thanking him. Make sure your audio wheel is turned up when trying to test if the computer recognizes it. The audio splitter may need to be plugged into the opposite color than the corresponding color on the connector. The SteelseriesGG program will not actually recognize the headphones as their name because they do not support USB connectivity. There are so many crazy things to the set up of this stupid pair of headphones that Amazon told me I cursed too much on my last review and they couldn't post it.That being said, they are fine. Comfort is great, sizing is nice, and the sound quality isn't that bad, actually. Microphone works very well. If I were to change anything about them, it would be literally all of the above. Seems like a fine product with the worst set-up I've ever had with headphones. Steelseries, you're lucky you've made an alright product. I hated wasting so much time getting it working.

STEEL SERIES WARRANTY PROCESS IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL
As you read this review please note the headset was in excellent condition at the time it broke with no user related damage. Also, my experience during this entire communication process with Steel Series is that they will respond to your email once per day and not on the weekends.I bought this product in June 2021 and it broke early Oct 2021, one ear of the headset and mic no longer work.I purchased an extended warranty and called to make a claim, I was told it was still covered under the manufacturer one year warranty and I would need to go thru them.Contacted product support on the Amazon site and advised I wanted to pursue a warranty claim. Spent 30 minutes in an online chat with someone trying to fix the device to no avail. Was told I would need to go directly thru the Steel Series website.Spent half an hour online with Steel Series going thru the same process of attempts to fix the device, still doesn't work.I was advised I would need to submit pictures of each earpiece, mic, headset, serial# and original receipt to make a warranty claim.I sent screenshots of everything but the Steel Series rep indicated they were unable to view the screenshots so I had to resend it in a PDF document.Once that was done I was given a link to submit a warranty claim. You're required to break the headset apart in very specific ways or per Steel Series directions you risk voiding the warranty claim. (or you can send the headset back to Steel Series at your own expense and maybe/maybe not you'll get reimbursed that cost)I think I'm pretty strong but it's not easy to break them the way they ask, I had someone else try too. I advised Steel Series I was having trouble breaking them. I finally managed to break it but it snapped in a different area than the very specific way they advise you to or risk voiding the warranty. Then I had to send pictures of each broken piece. This time you can't use a PDF because it's too big for the space you need to upload it to, one space for each picture. Back to the screenshots which apparently now work for this part of the process. Then I got a an email saying I needed to send them a video of the product. Steel Series advised that they don't have enough data space for me to download a video and can't view a google link so I need to create a You Tube account or Vimeo account in order to send them the video.I responded asking where in the directions it indicated I need to send a video and what was wrong with the pictures I sent. I also indicated that I thought their process seemed designed to discourage warranty claims.I received a response saying -"The video is needed because our system is requesting it for further verification. If you are unable to provide it to us please let me us know so I can close this ticket accordingly."So, I guess I should just take a video without knowing what was wrong with the pictures and cross my fingers that Steel series now finds my submission acceptable???I asked for a Supervisor to call me. No response. I sent another request for a Supervisor to contact me. I received a response to that email that my request had been escalated. Then I received the following. Thanks for reaching out to us. I read up on issue in the thread. I am one of the leads in the department. Video verification of destruction is something that our process requires. This part is important, and we really want to get you verified and get you your code for the new headset so that you will be able to get back to gaming, that we all love to do :). Please be sure to complete the video verification step, as not completing this will lead to denial of the warranty claim.Still no feedback on what was wrong with the pictures to ensure I accurately capture the information they want in the video. Still no call from a Supervisor. No ability to submit a video unless you're interested in creating a YouTube account for yourself and I assume uploading your video to YouTube for anyone to see??? I don't know if that's right because I don't have a YouTube account or have any interest in creating one. I sent a response again asking to speak with a Supervisor. I received a response from the same party that Steel Series only communicates through email. (As I noted at the top - they only communicate once a day, this has been going on for almost two weeks).I called and spoke with customer service at the extended warranty provider that I purchased from and explained what was going on. The party I spoke with agreed with my opinion that Steel Series appears to make it much more challenging than would be reasonably required to make a warranty claim and they were kind enough to honor the warranty at 100%. They gave me a prepaid label to send back the headset. When I told them I had destroyed the headset at the direction of Steel Series it got a little problematic but we were able to work it out and I have since been refunded the full cost of the headset by the extended warranty provider. The entire phone call with the extended warranty company took a half hour. They indicated they would be giving Amazon feedback on Steel Series warranty claim process, I hope they do.Still waiting to hear back from a Supervisor at Steel Series...........

Excellent Sound and Comfort — Bought It Twice
This is my second time buying the Arctis Nova 1 and for good reason. I loved my first one so much that I picked up a second for my wife. The sound quality is impressive with clear highs and deep bass, and the spatial audio makes a big difference in games. The headset is comfortable for long sessions thanks to the adjustable design and soft ear cushions. The mic does a great job cutting out background noise and I like that it retracts when not in use. On-board controls are simple and handy. It works perfectly across devices and platforms with the 3.5mm jack. If you're looking for a reliable and great-sounding headset, this is a solid choice.
