Excellent buy at a very reasonable price.Remastered CDs with all the lyrics on the sleeve note.You will have to go through lyrics with the help of a magnifier.

good idea, poorly done.
this was a great idea. This woman is one of the all time greats of music.Not a music review here, sorry.Unfortunately, CDs are not remastered as many imagine, myself included.Also some of the mini sleeves have been found to be damaged upon opening the shrink wrap seal.Good idea, poor execution.Still buy if you are new to Joni - a very good way to skip years of catalogue hunting.If you have any, or most of her output already - avoid.I fall into the latter category and wait for the eventual, magnificent, remastered set.

Bargain package of Joni’s classic album releases up to 1979
This is a bargain package if you want Joni’s first 10x album releases in your collection on old fashioned hard-copy CDs. These 10x classics span the years 1968 to 1979, from her debut ‘Song to a Seagull’ to ‘Mingus’.The package contains no specific information about which mix/remastered editions have been used. It may be that where available, the HDCD masters have been used and where no HDCD is available then those from the first CD masters (as opposed to the original analog recordings for the vinyl) have been used. The sound on every single disk is absolutely first class, and even those from the 1960s sound fresh and bright.Each of the 10x single CDs is presented in its own good-quality cardboard foldout sleeve with the original vinyl cover-artwork, all contained in a rigid folding-clamshell outer box.This package is absolutely fantastic value and in every way superb.

Beautifully-made collection of beautiful albums, and a very reasonable price. Each individual CD and its casing use the original vinyl design which is a great touch and also means that you can read the lyrics (if you have good eyesight...)

A good selection of music from the worlds premier songwriter /performer.
Great value cd set. I have many of joni work on vinyl but this set was an ideal purchase.Joni is undoubtedly the premier female singer songwriter of all time , i saw her at IOW festival in the early 1970s and was in love.If asked to do my Desert Island disk choice she would figure in half my chosen records.

Divine audio experience
Well, there are the acoustic guitar based earlier folkier LPs and there are the "Joni goes electric" songs.They are all here and they're all magnificent. I collected lots of them at the time and loved them then as I do now- astonishingly clever arrangements of excellent original songs. I always liked the fact that Joni performed live regularly and was very good live, whereas we'd have forgiven her if she'd hinted that she was happier in the studio. You may have your own particular favourites- mine sort of change all the time, but I remember John Peel playing Hejira and sharing his bewilderment at the genius on show. Someone asked me about the bass playing after I'd been listening to it for about 15 years- I'd been concentrating on Joni's guitar playing and those weird tunings she was using - so I started listening to all the other things going on. My vinyl copy of Hejira now jumps and sticks so I regard the price of these CDs as a real bargain. Joni is probably in the Top One when it comes to choosing the all-time greatest female singer/songwriter....
