Kitchen Science Stackable Steamer Insert Pans with Sling for Use as Instant Pot Insert - Pot in Pot For Instant Pot 6 Qt, 8 Qt

I will NOT be using these. Luckily, I’m one of those people that read the instructions before I try things. I always inspect products thoroughly. The cooking pans I received had no vent holes in them. All over the BOX it shows VENT HOLES. On the front page of the directions it clearly shows that there should be a vent holes in the pans on the side. I don’t know if they didn’t get drilled and this is a manufacturing defect or what, but I will not be using these. Luckily I’m one of those people that read the instructions before I try things. The instructions clearly say under cooking preparation, to make sure that the vent holes don’t get clogged, that thay could make high pressure levels. Since there are no vent holes in my pans I will be sending them back immediately. Do not order or use these as would fear that high pressure could develop and it could be extremely dangerous. Do not use.Also, for what it was worth, the “free” included cutting board was disgustingly cheap and dirty. It had black stuff all on it.

I received my order quickly and it was in fine shape. I was very impressed with the weight and quality of the stainless steel. I looked at numerous other stackable inserts before coming across this one. It was the only one I could find that was 18/8 quality stainless steel. I always look for this in the pots, pans etc. because the heat distribution is even and it holds a pretty accurate temperature all throughout the item. Other lesser grade SS or Teflon pans develop hot spots over a longer or high heat cooking. Before you know it your food is ruined. I have learned that the stackable inserts originated in India. This, very happily, is where these Anvanced Mixology stackable S are made. The quality of the SS is a must as many meals are delivered to people via bicyclists! The food must stay hot with the quality remaining after leaving the kitchens until they arrive at their final destination.I'm looking forward to using this high quality item shortly!

Upon opening I was impressed with the packaging and the quality of the materials. As this is my first foray into Pot in Pot cooking (PIP) with my Instant Pot, it was nice to have everything I needed right there. The only suggestion I would make is possibly a little mini cook book included with basics like cooking rice using the PIP method, but these tutorials are easy enough to find online. It fit my IP and worked perfectly! This would make a great gift for anyone trying to get even more out of their Instant Pot.

This arrived promptly and was packaged very well. The containers are very spacious and fit inside the instant pot perfectly. I boiled rice and veggies in the two containers and they came out great! The mitts are cute and made the handling super easy. I loved that the pans are dishwasher safe, but they lost a little sparkle after wash. I especially like the lid of the top pan that can be used as a lid for temporary storage if need be. Overall, great addition to my instant pot cooking!!

The product shipped is definitely not a steamer and is just metal tins in a basket with no holes in the sides or in the lid. Mine was obviously returned goods and will likely be heading back, though I’m considering getting out the drill and turning it into something useful, but that of course is not something to try unless you are skilled at that type of metal work and have appropriate tools and training.The picture the seller has posted does not match the product shipped.

The product worked great for its intended use! It is a compact, simplistic, efficient, and practical design. The stackable food pans are highly polished and easy to clean. I noticed that the support tray assembly had a few nicks in it when first taken out of the box, but since this part doesn’t touch the food it wasn’t a big deal although it would have been preferred that this too would have been as highly polished and as near perfect as the food insert pans. All-in-all it is a good product and it works as expected.

Very impressed with thick stainless steel of the pans. The lifting cradle is nicely made too. It has a plate across the bottom instead of just wires. The added wood trivet and silicone grab mitts to protect hands while lifting out the pans are a nice touch. And as advertised: it is made for Instant Pot 6 quart and it does fit nicely in the the 6 quart inner cook pot.

My sister loves it, she uses the cutting board more as a place holder for the pans, as I informed her on some instances of the cutting boards potentially being of poor quality. Other than that she says it the food comes out great and the plans fit easily in her 6qt Insta pot ultra.
