Venus Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D Ultra Wide-Angle Lens for Fujifilm X Series Camera - Black Color

This little lens is incredibly sharp and distortion is nigh invisible. Vignetting is obvious and easily corrected in post production. It balances nicely on my XPro2 and the manual focusing using peaking (and focusing enlargement) is easy (zoning is a real doddle with this little gem).

The first thing that strikes you about this lens is how small and compact it is - perfectly suited to a Fujifilm mirror-less camera. The second is the reassuring weight and superb build quality. Distortion for such an ultra wide lens is very well controlled and it's sharp, but with some vignetting wide open (which saves me adding some in post production). Easily removed if a slight vignette is not required. Sun stars when stopped down are very nice. Manual focus of course but at this focal length it's easy to get lots in focus.
