Nice little drone
This is my first drone, I am a complete novice. Now that thats out of the way, The drone came packaged, and ready to fly, after charging the battery. It does take 5 hours to charge, so you're going to want one or 2 extras, and they are about $30 on Altairs website. This thing is great fun to fly, and pretty darn fast when you want it to be. The camera takes very nice video, and stills. When paired on my phone, the image is stable, and clear. Headless mode is a bonus for beginners as well. They tell you to be sure to fly in a wide open space, and thats probably a safe bet until you are very familiar with flying. Its easy to get turned around, and go left when you need to go right, ect.A friend has a DJI Phantom drone, and flew My outlaw today. He said it was quite good. very responsive, and a great buy for the price.Altairs customer service is good as well. I contacted them twice through the website, both times they responded within an hour or so.Im glad I made this purchase over some of the others I was looking at.

Incredible The distance it flys and the video is crystal clear
Worth the money for sure. This company is talked about highly on here and other drone blogs and they didn’t dissapoint. This thing goes further than any drone I’ve owned before and the video is extremely clear. Three different return home functions solid gps drone.

Battery doesn't work
This is my second Altair drone. I returned it the first time because the battery got defective within 9 or 10 days of having my drone. After I returned it I got the same one thinking that it might be a fluke. I charged the battery with the specifications and the battery discharged completely in mid-air after 2 minutes of air time. Also wouldn't display the battery level on the controller. I truly like the drone but unfortunately, the big issue is the battery. I am still in the market for a drone. I wonder if this company can fix that problem this drone it will be a good one.

Excellent Drone
I bought a different drone and it came used so I returned it to Amazon and bought this one. So happy I did this drone is super easy to use and set up. It also takes excellent videos and pictures. Would recommend this drone to anyone looking of a great quality product. I did buy an extra battery, so I can still use it while one battery is charging, because it does take five hours to charge.

Best Drone we've purchased out of 3!
This was the 3rd Drone I have purchased for my son(one quit working & the other took off into its own Drone world, never to be seen again). This one is powerful & haven't had any mechanical issues & comes back like it's supposed to!😁 He loves it.I want to buy an extra battery pack(they were out prior to Christmas) also! We're happy w/this one!

This is a very nice drone, excellent customer service from Altair Aerial
Up front I want to say I know this is a re-badged MJX Bugs 2se drone, and it's $50 more. So, why pay the extra $50? One major reason: US-based customer service.I had a problem with the app for this drone and the response from Altair was very fast (email) and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the product.Having flown several battery packs let me tell you, this is a very good drone. Fairly fast, extremely stable, very responsive, the gps return to home lands it within 2 feet of its launch point. Camera takes good pics and video (image stabilization would be nice, though). The drone is also very durable.I made the mistake of letting it get behind a tree and out of my line of sight, then heard the dreaded sound of props hitting branches. The drone dropped about 50 feet through the tree onto the ground. I found it after a short search and while the battery had come out of it (which is good, since it cut power to the drone), there was no damage. Not a crack in the fuselage or even a broken prop. Just some leaf clippings stuck all over the body. I put the battery back in and it was ready to fly. Now, the only bad thing I have found so far: They app does not seem to be fully compatible with Android 8 (works fine on a android 6 phone that I tested). The live video works, but the app will not show where the drone is located in reference to the controller/phone. This also means you cannot use the orbit of "follow me" functions. I do hope they get this fixed, though, since these are nice perks.I am rating 5 stars due to the drone being such a good aircraft, and Altair's excellent service. The app I would rate a 2.I also wish Altair would consider stocking replacement motors, escs, and controller boards (MJX has parts available (since it's a bugs 2 se drone, basically), and should work, though, but all are sourced from China so it would be weeks to receive). Having parts available would allow the more advanced user to repair their own drone, rather than just get a new one. This makes for less waste, in my opinion. Another thing: the included charger takes 4-5 hours to charge, so consider buying even an inexpensive charger with balance port and xt30 connector and you can charge the battery in an hour or less.Don't expect a high quality remote at this price range. The controller is decent, but it's NOT DJI or Futaba quality by any means. It's precise, but the sticks feel cheap. Also, the antennas are fake, which I don't understand (the real antenna is internal). I removed them (a gentle pull, straight out detaches them), since they just get in the way.In closing, I want to say that Altair Aerial is selling a good product in the Outlaw SE drone, and their service is top-notch, which is worth the extra $50 for sure. Including 2 batteries would be nice, also!

Drone is F*****g awsome
Excellent drone. Has a very good range and Camara stays connected to phone. Iv flown it out of site befor and used my phone and Camara to guide it around. People need to use your brains when u get it. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ITS NOT HARD befor each flight make sure u turn it around as directed in DIRECTIONS. Drone has excellent control and was well worth the 300.

The phone app setup was difficult
The Android phone app is written in China and asks for root level access, which you should not grant, and it actually works without it. Let it take you to the settings screen and then cancel out of it.The "Follow Me" function doesn't work on my Galaxy S10e phone. The return to home was scary at first because it goes up to a set altitude then comes over to above where it launched and then lands.I crashed it 3 times with no damage to it.Setting the compass after each battery change is tedious. You can't just slap in a new battery and continue flight.Be sure to register with the FAA for $5 because you'll find in the rules that you can't fly over people and cars. There's a lot of restrictions.
