Nice package, good beam and area light, with excellent magnets and clip.
I'm a borderline flashlight nut, but try to keep it reeled in to practical levels. I no longer feel a need to blind a charging elephant at 1000 paces. Mostly I need a flashlight to find things I've dropped in a dark corner, or see what's making a ruckus in the back yard. That said, I'm positively impressed with this flashlight. 1. Bodaciously strong magnets on the end and the side. These support the weight of the flashlight in many attitudes without sliding off. The plastic extends a bit beyond the magnet surface to help keep the magnet from touching or scratching what you stick it to. Can't stick to everything every time yet, but comes as close to that as anything I've ever seen. 2. A good forward beam. It compares very favorably to my 2D LED Maglite when peering around the backyard, but is much lighter to carry than a 2D Maglite and the plastic does not freeze your hands like aluminum does when the weather gets colder. 3. The area light on the side is very nice when working on something or trying to read instructions in the dark. You don't get that blinding hot spot in the center that blinds you to everything else, you just get a nice even illumination. Really nice for working under the hood of your car, or on a workbench at night. It still casts a little harsher shadows than the 30 or 50 LED light bars, but overall is very serviceable and nicely included in a small package here. One note, as others mention, getting the "guts" out the first time to install batteries can be a little tricky. It takes some fingernail action to try to catch the edge of the reflector to get some purchase. Things get much easier once the batteries are installed, then just a little tap or snap of the wrist will move the guts forward to where you can reach the batteries. I also find the orange color very practical. Trying to find a black flashlight when it's already too dark is just silly. Yes, black looks more "manly". Blaze orange or bright yellow shows up when you need it. An extra star just for the practical color. It's a tool to make things visible at night or in the dark, not a fashion statement about how macho you are or a weapon to fend off multiple attackers. (There are better tools for that. I don't need a flashlight to pretend its a war club or mace, or to scare off burglars with it's bright blinky lights.) I need a flashlight that I can find in dim lighting, that reliably comes on every time when I push the on button without shaking, bumping or banging on it, tolerates being dropped now and then, and gives me good spot lighting plus good flood lighting. This one hits on all cylinders. It doesn't impress my friends or neighbors much, and it doesn't particularly frighten off large wild animals, but its a good decent working light that does it's job very competently.

Solid, strong, and well built!
This is a great flashlight! It is solid, well built, and easy to find.I work in residential HVAC and I am constantly using flashlights during the course of my day in attics, basements, and sometimes, even outside. I kept using cheap flashlights that I only paid $5-$15 for. After going through three flashlights in a month, I was getting really frustrated. One of my coworkers recommended Nightstick to me. His flashlight was the intrinsically safe version. I bought this one due to the magnets. Man, was it a good purchase! The flashlight has held up to being dropped, banged around (quite extensively as it hangs off of my pocket), kicked, tossed, and even rained on. Everything on the ratings card is correct!I love the belt clip on this thing. If I could hang every tool I own off of me feasibly, I would. I hang the flashlight off of my right hip pocket most of the time. The clip is strong, robust, and solid. The clip takes most of the abuse as it is banged around clipped onto my pocket. I have had it for a month and a half now, and I have not noticed any stress marks or cracks. I have also used the clip to hang it off of my shirt in conjunction with the flood light. The magnets. The magnets are awesome! If there is metal nearby that I can stick my flashlight to, I will. The magnets are strong. I can pick up my keys with the magnet. My key ring weighs about 1/2 a pound. The magnets are more than ample enough to hold the weight of the flashlight. They are strong, easily hold the flashlight up even when only half of the magnet is being used, and they stay in their place on the flashlight. I have owned other flashlights that have had the magnets come out of their place, but not so with these! The brightness is another big thing. I end up using the flood light for most of my work because the focused beam on contactors that close ends up washing out what I am trying to see. I have used the flood light attached to my shirt and attached to steel rafters and it casts a great flood that is very wide. The flood is designed for close viewing, roughly 6 ft away tops. The focused beam I have used in commercial jobs where I am trying to find units above drop ceilings and I am looking sometimes hundreds of feet. So far, in a dark area, I have seen the spot of the light up to 250 ft.The only downside to this flashlight is the battery life. You only get about 8-9 hours on a set of batteries. However, that is better than the Surefire light I was going to buy that was only 65 lumens, lasted 1.5 hours and used the more expensive CR123a batteries!Overall, this is an awesome flashlight. It is well-built, strong, bright, and economically priced. If this one ever breaks, I'll buy another one in a heartbeat!

Excellent everyday carry work light...
Tuff light... Have used it over a few years now, and the bulb is good still. Main beam is nice and bright, and the path light is great. Also able to use the magnet to stick it over a work area and have a great light source. No strobe or low mode just on and off which is what most of us want. Uses 3 cheap AA batteries that most people and companies have around. I only use it sparingly through out the day, but I carry it on my hip everywhere. I was worried about the plastic belt clip breaking and falling into our machinery, but so far it has taken some pretty good hits and snags and is still holding strong. Almost impossible to have it fall off your belt (has never happen to me). Excellent light would buy one again, and have given one as a gift.Improvements? Maybe a brighter main beam, metal body, or maybe a little lighter. You will not get all of these improvements together.I liked it so much I bought one of their rechargeable work lights with a magnetic base. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6WEXY3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
