Actually these are very good for the price.
This screen shot off my mobile phone gives you an idea how clear the picture is. I had to pinch it in a little for privacy reasons so your actual viewing area will be larger/wider than the photo. The night vision on it is actually very good and clear enough for the Police to take a clear copy of an intruders face. The cameras have very sensitive microphones on them and you can clearly hear a conversation some distance away. We installed the SD cards (bought separately) for recording back up or you can subscribe to the "cloud".The instalation was straightforward. We found that we could carefully bend the power cable into the top corner of the double glazed window frame and by doing this not have to drill through the wall or the window frames. The power cable to the cameras are very thin (2 core) and will easily mould into the corner of the frame and will stay there if the window is left closed without doing any damage.Another handy function is if you have to attach the cameras on a weird angle or get them to view from a strange position, these cameras have the ability to be rotated round on the housing (silver bit) to make the lens and therefore the picture view straight on your mobile view. The software is user friendly and easy to use. There are many other functions avaliable in the settings if you wish to alter things or save recordings etc. So all in all these are very good cameras and I don't think your be disappointed if you purchased them. The company time2technology.com couldn't have been more helpful and friendly if they tried. Their customer service was A1 and for that id like to thank them. They give you an email address and a UK landline if you need to contact them at any point in a personal note in the box.If you're looking for something that will do the job and not be too fussy then these are great.

Best camera on the market
Fantastic product. Extremely easy to set up. Very clear pictures and movies recorded. Control and view everything from outside the house via mobile phone.Motion detections work very well. I think, it compares the pre and pos images to determine movements rather than infra red signals trigger. You only get alarm if there are real movements (cars or people). Sun light (or shades) movement or plants waving about do not trigger alarm. Very clever software. With the indoor camera, motion detection even works through the window glasses (for viewing outside from inside the house). However this kind of usage does not work at night because when night visions kicks in the infrared signals reflects on the windows bounce back and blues everything. Nigh vision works very well inside the house (not through windows). I suggest Time2 to update the Clan software to have an override night vision option (like the indicator signal override option), then this camera should work well through the windows at night, by turning night vision off. Will definitely purchase a few more of these.

Overall great camera
I bought this camera mainly due to the positive reviews and the price being reasonable. What I wanted from a camera was to be able to Watch live stream, have motion detection with notifications to my phone and be able to go back on old footage. This camera does all this. The install is very simple. What I would suggest is plugging into a socket and syncing all the phones you want before installing into the position you require. The live stream is great, and has date and time on the display, picture is very good aswell.I have ordered a micro SD card so I can go back to old footage. The motion detector works well too. There are 3 options of sensitivity. And medium works well for me. Only thing that would be good is to have to motion detector on a timer, so ideally for me I would set overnight and during the day when I am at work. This would stop the needless notifications to my phone of myself or wife walking in the garden. But for £79 What do you expect.

Excellent night vision!
Great value for money CCTV camera for home. This is the second Oscar camera I've owned. This more recent one has 1080p resolution, which makes a clear difference. As you can see from the photo (which was taken on our very dark driveway - can barely see the cars are there with the naked eye) night vision is excellent. The companion 'Clan' app has had some recent improvements too, and generally works well. Remember to buy a micro SD card if you want the camera to be able to store and play back a the last few days' of footage. I found a 128Gb one on Amazon Prime for ~£15. This is a more cost effective solution than fitting a 'Ring' doorbell camera (for example) and paying them a monthly subscription, as the Time2 camera is subs-free (unless you wish to use their cloud storage, which seems unnecessary if you've fitted a memory card). This camera also allows 2-way voice comms, but the way, albeit with a ~1s latency. Gives optional motion or sound detection-based notifications to phone too, which can be helpful. The only minor niggles would be:1) The 3 supplied fitting screws are incredibly fragile and the heads are very easily rounded off. I used alternative screws (for both of the cameras I have owned).2) It is very difficult to choose a precise playback time of day through the app if you wish to go back to (say) 01:27am the previous night. You'll be lucky to home in on it to the nearest 5 minutes, which makes for some wasted time as you wait to review specific events. Perhaps this will be picked up and addressed in the future?3) Pairing the camera to the companion app through display and read of a QR code on the smartphone took a little practice. Try holding the phone screen a little farther away from the camera than indicated in the instructions (i.e. over 300mm away) to get it to work. All in all, great value, great image quality and give peace of mind. Just put it up and forget about it.
