Best ice cream scoop ever made
Best ice cream scoop ever invented. Easy to use, easy to clean, plus it kinda looks like a retro laser. 10/10 recommend.

Throw all your other scoopers away!
I just found I can buy these! Why use any other scooper? I love how it pushes the ice cream all the way down into the cone. Dishwasher cleans it no problem. Buy it and throw away that old thing you were using.

A little pricey to me
I was hoping the ice cream would lift right up with this gadget when coming up. My hands get sticky with ice cream because I have to go sideways. A little pricey for this gadget

Nostalgic Thrifty Ice Cream Scooper
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for the nostalgia and have never used this style of ice cream scooper since they were only available at Thrifty's ice cream counters. After receiving mine, I was ready to scoop -- actually had a half gallon of Thrifty ice cream at home.It does take some getting used to but like other online reviews, the ice cream can stick to the top of the device so the ice cream doesn't release from the scoop. Maybe there's more technique that I don't know about but when I tried to get the ice cream loose, my scooper locks up as the interior ceiling mechanism reaches the maximum lower point and kinda jams. What is odd is that when you get Thrifty ice cream at the store, it has these ice chips in it that adds a pleasant texture to it. But, I never got those textures with home scooped Thrifty vanilla ice cream until I scooped it with this scooper. It's not in my head as I eat enough ice cream to know.I am keeping this despite the ice cream sticking to the top and jamming issue since this is part nostalgia for me but I want to get another half gallon of Thrifty vanilla ice cream and see if I can get those 'ice chips' again?

Mpemba effect
The sought after ice crystals in Thrifty’s ice cream was most likely the result of the Mpemba effect. That’s the name of the event that takes place when hot water drips to freezing levels.Combine that with a metal scooper you get tiny ice crystals in the ice creamThrifty used to soak the metal scooper in hot water and the hot water would drip into the ice creamWhen this scooper soaks in hot water it’s much easier to get the ice cream to release, and you get tiny ice crystals
