Great for my 7 month Rottie
This is a great product! I got it so I can teach my 7 month old Rottweiler to run next to me while I ride my bike and its working out great so far! It just took her one ride down the street to get used to it. I do use it in conjunction with a leash that I hold in my hand just in case either of the systems fail but it also helps her keep the perfect distance from the bike. It was easy to install with very clear directions and it seems very sturdy. I also like that you can use the arm portion on either the left or the right and its removable without having to disassemble the whole system. One thing to note is that it is placed under the bike seat. I have a beach cruiser and it fits fine, but prior to having this system I used to have my seat all the way down, so I did have to raise it a bit to let it fit. Its just something to get used to having my seat 3 to 4 inches higher than I'm used to. All in all I really like the product. It feels safe for my puppy and it wasn't as expensive as some of the other bike/leash systems that are out there. Side note: It was also easy to teach my puppy how to "use" it. I hooked it on her collar and walked her down the street with the bike in the middle. We're now able to do 2 mile hike rides with no problem.

Holds Up to my Husky!
Update: After about three months of near daily use, the rubber sheath surrounding the bungee cord somehow split, allowing too much give. Very disappointing for my dog and me! I purchased this to attach to my Rad Mini e-bike. My husky mis dig is extremely strong and independent, so I wondered if this connector could hold up to her and still let me have good control. I was thrilled to find out it works great! No problems with her throwing me off balance or pulling in the wrong direction. She stays in the right spot without going behind the bike or getting in the way. It took someone more mechanical than me to attach it correctly, but now it’s on firmly with no slipping or turning around the seat post. Y dog and I love this!

Very sturdy and durable. Easy to install.
I had been using a regular leash in my hand when bike riding but it was clumsy. After reading reviews of the elastic bike leashes where the elastic gets stretched out I decided to try this one, even though it’s more money than the elastic bike leashes. There is a reason why this leash costs more money - it seems to be built better than the others. I also liked it because it looks similar to the one that Brandon McMillan uses on the Lucky Dog show. The bracket allows you to put the bike leash on the left side or the right side. My dog is 47 pounds and it works great for her. I found the tips for training her with it before riding with her very helpful. I ride with her on the left side of my bike so I tried their tips to practice walking the bike with her for a few left turns and left U-turns and it worked great. One thing - the instructions on the package say it’s helpful to have a bike mechanic install it - see the photo I uploaded. That warning seems a little over cautious. I was careful to tighten all 4 bolts equally and just enough that the clamp won’t move and it’s fine. In summary, I highly recommend this bike leash.

Do not recommend for medium or large dog.
I got it attached which is not easy because of the angle of the post that the leash at TV aches to. Does not stay tight on seatpost. Not good for a medium sized dog. The one thing I like and wish some other companies made theirs the same is it has a pin to keep the leash attached to the attachment on the seat post. Do not recommend.

Brackets break with larger dogs!
I run my dogs daily using this product. We have over 1300 miles now which is great and we love it. My issues with the product are: The bracket posts will snap off if either of my dogs lunge suddenly. There is always the risk of off lease dogs cats squirrels and deer here in Oregon. I've bought 3 and all sides have snapped off. that's 6 posts! They have snapped the bungee several times as well. I always have a secondary line to their collars to prevent them from running off. I'm hoping Sherpa will replace the brackets or I'm switching to another brand. Good Luck and be safe!

Quality product that does its job well
I think I can give an honest review for this product as I noticed that I got to order exactly the same product we are using now. I didn't know this when I ordered it because I couldn't find the history of purchase anymore on Amazon. I thought I had ordered a similar one. But I was lucky. It is the same company and logo. I got the product that I have been using for 4 years. We really like this product.Although the rubber part of the previous one is ripped off after 4 years of heavy duty (the inner stretchy part is still intact and the attachment is still usable), it did a great job over the years. My dog is a border collie and she is a big puller(40lb dog). In the beginning, we were wondering if the rubber is strong enough but this concern disappeared when we started using it. Because of the rubber part, it gives great flexibility to my dog's move. And the attachment on the bike itself was very sturdy. I am so glad that I got to order the same one. Wish the success of this brand! :)

Rubber broke after one year - 30 lb. dog
Worked great until the rubber around the leash broke. My dog pulls some, but is only 30 pounds. Other issue is that my seatpost gets rotated if my dog suddenly pulls really hard. I've had other bike leashes with heavy springs that lasted decades.
