Great book that ACTUALLY helps, lots of great advice, easily 5 stars
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”"“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."This book essentially explains these 2 statements in depth (without of course referring to the Bible - perhaps because the author arrived at this info independent or wants to keep the secular crowd happy, etc). Loads of backed up research and inspiring examples, a treasure trove of info for those wanting to get on top of their anxiety and health/wellbeing/mindfulness in general. I loved his low-key take on meditation - didn't feel burdensome or new-age, just sensible practical medical advice that really seems to help.Minor gripe: the author keeps going on about the app which seems a bit overpriced and flakey, but thankfully you can ignore the app stuff and still get a LOT out of this book. It's very well grounded in real data - it reminded me of Body Keeps the Score, and not new age mumbo jumbo like a lot of books these days but based on real lived experience/anecdotes. For £10 it's a steal as the knowledge/tips here will return dividends far in excess of that value.

Inspirational
Just finished it. A new non judgemental set of tools to help dissolve anxiety issues. Easy to read and makes sense. I now need to put it into practice.

Useful Strategies
It is good to read a book which has useful strategies you can immediately put into place. Being aware of your body, your breath and how you feel in each given moment helps you to accept every feeling knowing that it will pass.

Anxiety Unwound
I heartily recommend this book! Engagingly written, simple ideas very clearly expressed. If you're suffering with anxiety this is worth reading.

Fairly life-changing
As someone who has struggled with anxiety my whole life (5 decades)! I have found this proven fact based book and also the Unwinding Anxiety app, unbelievably helpful. I would say, over the past year, identifying and shifting the approach to my habitual worry loop has been the hardest work I have ever undertaken. It continues to be on-going and challenging work but this book and the app has helped make sense and provided a reassuring ‘hand’ with the assault of emotions and lack of control I have always felt I alone, experience. Really recommend to anyone. I listen to Dr Jud’s talks also. He makes a lot of sense to me.

Great book for anxiety
I'd been really struggling with anxiety lately so was looking for some fresh guidance. I've meditated for a few years at least but never really linked that or mindfulness with reducing anxiety. I've also read a few books on CBT that have been helpful but this has given me a fresh perspective as well as more tools to use. It's definitely worth the 99p I paid for it on the kindle store.

Rewards are not the same as results
This book is so important to me. It was recommended by my therapist who later told me that they knew I would be open to it after years of introspection and wondering if self-sabotage followed by a trip to their office for a session was actually a form of comfort in itself. The book opened my eyes. The Trigger-Behaviour-Reward model is explained as a comforting habit for our mind. However, what I did not appreciate until I read the book is that the Reward can be negative. Instead, I needed to operate on a Trigger-Behaviour-Result model, where the result is useful to me.Read the book. The writing style is a little annoying with parenthetical digressions that start wearing thin pretty quickly. Suck it up. Writing a book isn't easy. Focus on the result of reading it. Give it a chance. Maybe it will work for you too.
