VencoHoney (Honingdrop) Licorice 2.2 Lb Bag - 1 kilo

I grew up in the Netherlands and am somewhat of a connoisseur of Dutch licorice. During my many years I've eaten many different varieties of honing drop and of all the honing drop I've ever tasted these are the best. Venco is an above average brand to begin with, but then on top of that these are unsurpassed in quality and flavor. Now, of course that's highly subjective. But if you're in the market for Dutch licorice that's more sweet than salty and tastes delicious you should at least try these. I've shopped all over the United States for imported Dutch products for over 30 years. In terms of price I've not found a better price anywhere else in the U.S. Recommended

I love licorice. I do NOT care for anise, which is what America puts into what they call licorice. Think jellybeans. Licorice is a root. Anise is a seed from a totally different plant. Yuck (except when added to zweibelkuchen, which is another story).These drops are pure licorice, sweetened with honey, which is a total pleasurable chewy licorice experience.Moreover, licorice AND honey have health benefits. I just ordered my third shipment. Yum!

I love this licorice....unfortunately it's very addictive for me and I can't stop eating them until they're gone ( about 4 days)Also, this is the best brand of licorice, i think. Born and raised in the Netherlands, have to have my licorice!!

This is my first time ordering from this vendor. The candies were NOT edible. Stuck together and hard as a rock! They were not expired but obviously not kept in the right climate. Had to throw them away. I’ve ordered from other vendors, and the licorice were soft with a yummy honey taste.

The Venco brand has always offered me value and quality. The honey licorice is great for a sore throat. You can suck on it and it will last 15 or so minutes. It also makes a great treat in place of the normal Dutch salty licorice. I always keep some around in case I get a dry or sore throat.

Fell in love with these while in the Netherlands. About the size of a quarter, these soft drops have a perfect blend of licorice and sweet honey. Keep in mind these are not gummies....but a nice delicious long lasting treat.

I really like the taste of these and the fact that they are a slow to melt candy; I actually prefer softer black licorice but like this as well.
