Window tint meter and MORE (IR, UV)
This is a simple to use car window tint meter that measures visible light, infrared and ultraviolet transmission. It requires four AAA batteries, which are NOT included, and does include a small carrying pouch.Turning it on, it self-calibrates, then displays that it is ready to work by showing "100 0.0 0.0" on the screen. There is a bunch of Chinese on the case, I have no idea what it is supposed to say - I assume it is what each number is reading out?To use, you simply put it over the window of a car. It reads instantly, at which point you can press the power/hold button which will lock in the reading, and you can remove it from the window. In my test, I used it on windows tinted to 35%. The meter accurately showed 34.8% visible light, with 100% rejection of UV and 91.7% rejection of infrared. The manual supplied with the meter is useless, but luckily the meter is easy enough to use, you don't really need it.Overall, the meter is simple to use and accurate.Who is this for?- Anyone who needs to measure window tint on a vehicle or anywhere elsePros:- Simple to use- AccurateCons:- Four AAA batteries required instead of rechargeable lithium battery- Mystery Chinese printed on the case
