Good day, the Amazon app suggested that I buy extra large, but when they were delivered and I opened the package, it was obvious they were too big for me. I am 6 foot three, 220 pounds and my waist 36 to 38 inches. I returned the shorts immediately and ordered large. the fit wasn’t as tight as I would like, but it was OK. I went for two rides on my bicycle with these shorts one for nine and the other for 27 miles. I like the shorts just fine. Padding seems adequate, and the material seems like it will wick sweat really good. The shorts aren’t too baggy, and I like all of the pockets with the zippers.

Comfortable and look great
I'm very happy with this purchase. Only wore on one ride so far, but these shorts got the job done. The padding is thick enough for my purposes, but I have a seat that's slightly more comfortable than stock bike saddles. If I wore these on one of those cheap saddles that come with your bike, I'm not sure if the padding would be enough. However, since I already have a saddle thats somewhat comfortable, the padding included in these shorts makes the comfort even better. Now I need to save some money to buy multiple pairs of these shorts so I have at least enough pairs to wear for a week without having to do laundry every day.

I've already bought a 2nd pair and will likely get a 3rd
I've been looking for a reasonably priced pair of non-skintight padded bike shorts with elastic waist and drawstring. These are PERFECT! Quick drying, lightweight, good seat padding, two zipper closure side pockets plus two more thigh side pockets and smooth backside (where you don't want/need any pockets). Cannot believe these are UNDER $50! My waist is 38" and the XL size is what I bought. I probably could have fit in on smaller size but the waist band is elastic and has a drawstring so I'm happy with XL. They don't feel at all baggy. One caveat is that I've only been wearing the first pair I got for a couple weeks so don't have any durability data as yet, but I'll update this review in a couple of months. Also I noticed a few reviews complained that the drawstring was too flimsy. I don't see this as a problem and the drawstring ends extend around 8" and are slightly elastic so there's plenty of slack when cinching them up. I do intend to attach buttons to the ends though to make sure the drawstring ends don't get drawn inside when washing. One additional point, the inner lining with padding is an integral part, so not removable, which is exactly what I was looking for. A great bargain (unless they fall apart after a couple washings, so stay tuned for my review update in a couple months).

Literally saved my butt
Very comfortable, has a lot of pockets and is stretchy enough to wear over pants of the weather is cold and you need some extra layers. Multiple pockets which is great and it looks good. The pads are placed well and protect the bum efficiently :)

They run really big and the zippers are a bit fragile
I'm 5'9, 175LBS, and am sort of in between a 32 and 33 waist. I initially bought a Medium sized pair based on the sizing chart. The shorts fit fine but the liner is really loose and hangs down. Once I'm on the bike it's fine but walking it feels like I'm wearing a diaper. I bought a second pair but this time I ordered Small. They fit perfect, the liner fits a lot more snugly, and there's still plenty of room in the waist.Of the three zippers on my first pair, which are now a few weeks old, both side pocket zippers have come apart. The pulls still move back and forth, but the zipper part separated under the pulls on both sides so they no longer stay closed. Not a big deal since I keep everything in a bike bag anyway, but it's still a bit disappointing for the price.

They seemed okay if you're JUST going for a "ride". Pun intended.
I'm giving them a 4 because I didn't actually wear them riding. The padding is so large that, no matter how I wear them, I look like I have a moose knuckle bussy between my butt cheeks. I'm an average size 5'9" male that only weighs 160 on my worst day. I like to bike places and go in businesses etc. They seemed to be good quality though.

Nice affordable alternative to Zoic Ether MTB shorts
I picked these up after riding through a couple pairs of Zoic Ether shorts that I picked up on sale during the Parformance Bike closeouts a few years back. To be clear, Zoic Ether is a superior product, but not to the extent that justifies double the price of these shorts. Here is a quick comparison of Ether pros and cons relative to this product to let you decide if this cheaper alternative is right for you:Ether pros:1. More pockets (not important for me since I dont like being encumbered while riding with a bunch of crap flopping around in my pockets).2. More durable fabric. The ether has like a two layer fabric in most areas and a more durable stretchable fabric in high flex areas. Fabric in these shorts is much lighter weight and I expect to wear out the butt area faster, though Ether shorts also had significant signs of wear toward their end of life. We'll see how long these last in comparison.3. Removeable chamois. The ether undergarment is removeable. Not really a factor for me since I always washed the chamois and shorts together.Ether Cons:1. Main con is the zipper fly for the ether. This is subsect to lots of friction on the zipper which ultimately failed on both pair that I owned. These short are only elastic band so no zipper fly, which is good. That is really the only con for the Ether.I'm taking a gamble that this pair will hold up close to how long the Ether shorts do. If it comes close, i think it is the better deal at half the price.
