**Title: The Wi-Fi Lifesaver I Didn’t Know I Needed – This Thing is a Beast! 🚀💥**Let me start by saying that the **TP-Link RE705X WiFi 6 AX3000Mbps Range Extender** has completely transformed my home internet experience. I’m not being dramatic – this thing has genuinely saved me from Wi-Fi purgatory. Before installing this, my internet situation was… bleak. Dead zones, endless buffering, and that soul-crushing spinning wheel of death every time I tried to stream anything in HD. But now? It’s like someone removed the Wi-Fi shackles and set my internet free. If you’re on the fence about getting a Wi-Fi extender, stop reading right now and just buy this one – you can thank me later.### 📦 **Unboxing – The Calm Before the Wi-Fi Storm**Let’s start with the unboxing experience. The TP-Link RE705X came packaged neatly in a compact, well-designed box. No excessive plastic or waste – just simple, functional packaging that lets you know you’re dealing with a premium product.Inside, you get the extender itself, a quick-start guide, and an Ethernet cable. No complicated extra parts or confusing bits – just exactly what you need to get started. The extender itself? Sleek and modern. It’s got that understated, minimalist design that makes it feel like a premium tech product without screaming for attention. The white and grey finish blends in nicely with most home décor, and the size is just right – compact enough to be unobtrusive, but big enough to house some serious hardware.### ⚙️ **Setup – So Easy It Felt Suspicious**Look, I’ve installed a lot of tech over the years, and setting up network equipment is usually a nightmare. Cryptic instructions, mysterious error codes, and at least one reset button that you have to poke with a paperclip. Not here. Setting up the RE705X was so easy I was convinced I’d done something wrong.1. Plugged it into the wall.2. Opened the TP-Link Tether app (which I’d downloaded beforehand).3. Selected my home Wi-Fi network.4. Entered my Wi-Fi password.5. Done. That was it. No complicated pairing process, no frustrating "network not found" errors – just smooth sailing. It connected immediately, and within about two minutes, I had a rock-solid Wi-Fi signal across the entire house.### 🌐 **Coverage – No Dead Zone Left Behind**Here’s where things get exciting.I live in a typical British house – solid walls, multiple floors, and some rooms that have always been Wi-Fi dead zones. My router is in the lounge, and before installing the extender, the upstairs bedrooms and the back garden were basically internet-free zones. Trying to stream Netflix upstairs? Forget it. Online gaming in the back bedroom? Not happening. But after installing the RE705X?Full signal. Everywhere.I’m talking four-bar signal strength at the back of the house where previously I couldn’t even get my phone to connect. The garden? Streaming Spotify without a single dropout. Even my smart doorbell, which used to be basically decorative because it couldn’t maintain a connection, is now working flawlessly. The difference is staggering. The RE705X isn't just extending the signal – it's boosting it with serious muscle.### 🚀 **Speed – Fast Enough to Make You Double-Check**TP-Link claims that the RE705X can hit speeds of up to **3000Mbps** thanks to its Wi-Fi 6 capabilities. I was sceptical – because manufacturers always overpromise on these things – but the results blew me away. Before the extender, my internet speeds upstairs were pitiful – around 20–30Mbps on a good day. After installing the RE705X, I ran a speed test in the same spot.📶 **Download Speed:** 475Mbps📶 **Upload Speed:** 120MbpsI had to double-check because I thought maybe I’d connected to the wrong network. But no – that was all coming through the extender.Streaming in 4K? Instant.Downloading large files? Lightning fast.Online gaming? No lag.Multiple devices connected simultaneously? Not a problem.I even stress-tested it by running Netflix, YouTube, and an Xbox game at the same time – while someone else was on a Zoom call – and the connection didn’t even blink.### 🔋 **Stability – Rock Solid, No Drops**Some Wi-Fi extenders give you that initial boost, but then start dropping connections or slowing down once the novelty wears off. Not this one.I’ve had the RE705X running for a couple of weeks now, and the connection has been flawless. No dropouts, no lag spikes, no mysterious disconnections. The signal strength is consistent, and the speeds are holding steady even with multiple devices connected. It’s even smart enough to switch devices between the router and the extender automatically, without me having to manually reconnect. That’s a feature that you don’t appreciate until you’ve had to deal with a bad extender that forces you to manually switch networks every time you move rooms.### 📡 **OneMesh – The Magic Behind the Scenes**The RE705X supports TP-Link’s **OneMesh** technology, which means it integrates seamlessly with other TP-Link routers and extenders to create a unified mesh network.Instead of having multiple separate Wi-Fi networks, you get one single, consistent network throughout the house. Devices switch between the router and extender automatically without dropping the connection – so you don’t even realise it’s happening. This is the closest you’ll get to enterprise-level networking performance in a home setup.### 🔧 **Extra Features – Just When You Thought It Couldn’t Get Better**✅ **Ethernet Port:** Yes – this extender has an Ethernet port, which means you can hardwire a device like a gaming console or smart TV directly to the extender for even better stability and speed.✅ **Signal Indicator:** A handy LED light on the front tells you how strong the connection to your main router is – so you can position it for the best performance.✅ **Dual-Band:** Supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels – so you get the benefit of both longer range and faster speeds.### 💰 **Value for Money – A No-Brainer**Is it the cheapest Wi-Fi extender out there? No.Is it the best value for money? Absolutely. You could spend less on a budget extender – but you’d be sacrificing performance, coverage, and stability. The RE705X delivers premium-level performance without the premium-level price tag. It’s the kind of investment that pays for itself the first time you realise you can finally watch Netflix in the back bedroom without buffering.### 🏅 **Final Verdict – Five Stars and Then Some**The TP-Link RE705X isn’t just a good Wi-Fi extender – it’s a game-changer.Easy setup, incredible coverage, blazing fast speeds, and rock-solid stability – it delivers on every front. Whether you’re streaming in 4K, gaming online, or just trying to get a decent signal in the garden, this extender has you covered.Would I recommend it? Without hesitation. Would I buy it again? Honestly, I’m considering getting a second one for the garage.### 😒 **But Seriously – Why Am I Reviewing a Wi-Fi Extender?**Look, I love this thing. But why does it need a review? It's a Wi-Fi extender – it extends Wi-Fi. That’s its job. Do I really need to write a 1,000-word essay about how it does the thing it’s literally designed to do?At this point, I half expect to get an email asking me to review my socks. “Did they keep your feet warm? How did they compare to other socks you’ve tried?” Honestly, what’s next – reviewing my dishwasher tablets?Anyway – five stars. This thing works. Now let me go and enjoy my uninterrupted Wi-Fi in peace. 😤

It's not easy to set up in easymesh mode
I've been asked to edit my previous review of my personal experience of setting up this extender in mesh mode using a tplink archer AX53 router because suspicion of:"SpamPromotionsReviews given in exchange for cash, discountsLinks to other sitesAttempts to manipulate helpful votesPlagiarismInfringementImpersonation"All that I probably can say is that it works wonderfully as long as you follow some procedures that are not to be found anywhere without a great deal of digging.First make sure your router (any easymesh compatible router) firmware is fully up to date and is easymesh capable and enabled in it's settings. Also make sure to enable easymesh in this extender. There are websites that tplink provides to change settings in the extender once you've joined it's network.Do not make any other changes in the extender at this stage. Important! Do not configure as an extender. Then to create easymesh use WPS on your router and then the extender. It will automatically set up. You will know because there will not be any network with the _ext but will be only of your router SSID.You can reconfigure settings after. It has good coverage which can be made to fit your needs in settings. It has improved wifi signal to rooms that had poor reception. Don't expect miracles though.

A solid range extender with amazing results... takes some messing about though initially.
Really good at boosting speed! (once you have got it in the right location and setup correctly... this can take time). I found on my Ps5 that we have a bit of a dead zone in the corner of our house (where the TV and the Ps5 is setup). After several hours of swearing and running up and downstairs, I finally was able to hit acceptable fibre speeds (our plan is 900Mbps download) and with this extender I was able to hit 583Mbps - a massive jump from the 90 Mbps I was achieving before the device. This does mean however to achieve this I have had to use the ethernet port on the extender and run a cat5e cable to my PlayStation. The setup is a bit messy and that is why I am rating this product 4, instead of 5 stars. I was kinda hoping that I would be able to have the extender in another room and just use the wifi boost. But maybe my expectations are a bit to high. I also found the product easy to setup and manage using the Tether tp link app.

Easy Mesh not easy to set up
This took some thinking about!. I live out in the sticks and us 5G for my internet connection, my Huawei router failed recently and I replaced it the the TP-link NX200 and when it was up and running noticed it had an Easy Mesh option. I was using a separate Zyxel mesh system and thought that I could improve my network by using the router as the main hub with a couple of these RE705X as the slaves. So, they came and following the instructions I set them up very easily, then went into the Tether app to enable the Easy Mesh. After a lot of palaver and frustration I moved onto the web interface I noticed (in very small print) that to use them in a mesh environment I had to set the Easy Mesh up before configuring the devices. After a reset, I was then able to join them to the router and set up my mesh. Job done, very good devices a bit frustrated with the setup, but probably my fault for assuming everyone was going to go down the Easy Mesh route.
