New Design Does Make Professional Expresso
I have been using my wife's grandparent's expresso maker and others. The coffee is good, but the design has stayed the same for 100 years. I wanted a four-cup expresso maker that makes the foamy, thick expresso coffees I can get in the shops. The Brikka does a Bialetti has a version that works well on an induction stove. The bottom water container and the coffee cup are much larger for the resulting amount it makes. The design makes the pressure higher and the coffee more intense. It has a large hole in the lid because you have to keep the temperature low and watch. It can quickly boil over. The results are worth it.Unlike other expresso pots, you can put less water and coffee to make smaller but tasty amounts. There is a measuring cup for the water. It would be nice to have lines in the pot to measure the water directly.

Must have tool to make HK style milk tea
I was determined to replicate making Hong Kong-style milk tea at home. This is one of the tools that is vital to that authentic taste.

BEWARE THE LEARNING CURVE
Been using a regular Moka for some time and was not really prepared to tackle the learning curve when switching to a Brickka. Fear not, however, since it isn't all that difficult. It does brew in a somewhat different way than the Moka, so the whole thing is a different sight and sound to attend. Just got it last night, of course, so I'm still in the learning curve. I will try to remember to add more later, after I've has some time to adjust.

Doesn't work well
For the price, so not worth it. I had an old, trusty aluminum moka pot that was a 1-2 cup size, but not induction compatible. I "upgraded" to this 4-6 cup version when I got a new induction stove and haven't been impressed. It makes moka post espresso, but it doesn't create a uniform cup. Sometimes it burns it, sometimes it heats for 30 min and doesn't make a cup of coffee. Maybe it's user error, but I've tried a bunch of different temperatures to try to dial it in. I always end up with water left in the base, some sort of reverse suction where coffee also ends up in the base after bubbling up, or burnt coffee. I'd recommend getting a smaller moka pot and a cheaper one. This one doesn't live up to its promise.

Valve is defective
The valve failed on this one. Emits steam as soon as it heats up. Failed just after 4 or 5 uses. Made nice coffee when it was working.Update - Chefs Arsenal seller sent me a new one. Thank you to this seller.
