6/5⭐If you are planning to start a #Sanderson novel and is intimidated by the whole #Cosmere series, Warbreaker, in my opinion, is a great place to start. It has everything that you can expect out of Sanderson but bottled in a standalone. A very explosive bottle. 🤯#Warbreaker is the story of two sisters, the God King one of them has to marry, a lesser god and an immortal trying to undo the mistakes of his past.This is pretty much all you need to know before you go in, and let Sanderson take you on one of the greatest rides of your life.What I loved?✨The magic system is absolutely unique and ‘colorful’ (its colour based😍). But what sets it apart from other hard systems like Allomancy is the fact that Bio Chromatic magic is more of an aid in battle than the weapon itself. The magic is still in its primitive state, meaning, the world is still understanding it’s limits, making the plot even more interesting.✨ The characters are absolutely brilliant! The two sisters are polar opposites (gave me serious Anna-Elsa vibes), their arcs are unique, and watching their development was an absolute treat. Lightsong - I dare you to not fall in love with him. I DARE YOU. 👀 Every character is memorable, and I still keep opening the book to random pages to re-read.🥺✨Romance. Subtle, but beautiful.❤️✨There’s a friggin talking sword! (If that’s just not the greatest thing after a dragon, I don’t know what is)✨ I freaked out when I realised I just had 100 more pages and too many unanswered questions, but then Sanderson just slammed everything to my face. THE best 100 pages I have ever read in my life.✨After you see the first plot twist you will be thrilled and go ‘I think I saw that coming… but it was good’, but then you get another one, and then another one and it keeps on coming till the very last page of the damn book. At this point, you will just throw the book on the floor realising you just dumb.TL;DR : Unique magic system + badass women + action + romance + talking sword + uncovering deep secrets & lies + plot twists of the century!

A great read with wonderful viewpoint characters and a satisfying conclusion to struggle with their new life, dealing with politics, religion, and hatred for others nation. If you have read the Well of Ascension from Brandon, it has a similar slow pace to it. With the climax delivered in the last 10% of the book, with everything coming together in the end.

Very chapter was immersive into the world the author has created. Worth reading, just like the famous mistborn series was.

Great story, beautifully crafted ways of magic using colours of all things as a source. Doesn't seem farfetched at all. And yes, this book's story does bleed into the more popular Stormlight Archive, so if you haven't read that series, you should read this first. Some scenes and dialogues makes more sense in the Stormlight books. But since the characters in Stormlight have no idea of the world in Warbreaker, we are kind of in the same soup as them too, so it doesn't matter in the end. But certain dialogues are way more cooler in the Stormlight archives, if you know this world.Coming to Warbreaker, story is quite gripping and oozing with fantasy world plots and descriptions. Will keep busy till the end.For those who have read Stormlight, Hoid is here as well...doing what he does best...telling stories.

Book arrived in supreme condition and packaging. I love Elantris, but that book pales in comparison with Warbreaker. Intriguing characters, seemingly straight but complex plot and a sword that talks! Both the princess had their own experiences and development, that made them very compelling to read. From the start to the end, Lightsong has been my favourite character.

Paper quality is good but the cover was damaged

Just as the fan of brandon sanderson needed to buy the book to complete the brando sando tbr although still need to read through more than half of the book but I already love it just with 100 pages into the book and the talking sword ahhhhh………. I love it.

Though the book is a stand alone still it is well crafted. It definitely stands up to it's positive reviews. Plot is easy to follow yet provides with amazing moments. Good enough to give goosebunps. Memorable characters. Specially there is one very interesting. The magic system is wonderful. Very entertaining.
