great kit. well organized and everything. the surprise was the tools it comes with. they're actually pretty good tools, especially for something included in a kit. I'm getting a lot of use out of the iron tip. holds tinning longer and better than the tips that came with my iron. the tweezers are the same quality as the ones I already have, which is not bad. only thing I'd change is adding more LEDs. those things are so easy to break (and it's all easy to lose). I go through a lot more of them than other components.

This is a great assortment kit. I originally just got it because I needed a large resistor assortment, but I've used bits and pieces of this kit that I didn't even think I would need, like the tweezers and soldering iron tip! Even an LED or two to replace one that got blown off the edge of the board during solder flow before it was sent to me.Just be sure you have an ohm-meter handy to validate the parts you are taking out of the kit before soldering them in. The resistor markings and felt-tip pen markings on the strips make it easy to find the ones you want, but it is still a good idea to make sure you've got the right resistor :-).-Matt

Good variety of values, seems like good quality components for the money, and came in organized container. Only real problem with this item is it’s hard to tell what’s what. You have to try and match numbers to the legend on the cover of the storage box and it becomes a pita..

Surprisingly great value. Great kit to get started in surface mount technology. LOTS of parts and organized well.

This thing has by far the best selection of SMT parts, and I doubt that I will use some of the stuff that is in here, but its good to have just in case. They actually (it seems quite normal) include more that what is in the description. At least I did. I received extra transistors of different sizes and value that werent on the list.Great value, and worth every penny (unless youre the type that buys the reels that they make this from, then go ahead and get you a reel of each one of these).

This kit contains a very thorough common value component assortment of SMT/SMD parts. I do a good bit of surface mount soldering and build/repair a lot of other kits/devices. With surface mount the components are so small that they can be easily lost so some spare parts will at some point be needed.This kit is very comprehensive, while most other parts kits are limited to just resistors or capacitors and of a certain size at that. It included all the components stated in the description of the quantity and sizes (1206, 0805, 0603). The component values are hand marked on the strips containing them so you may have to search a bit to locate what you are looking for but it's all there. I tested a few of the resistors and capacitors, and of the few I tested, the values were correct and within tolerance. As a bonus the kit includes solder, a practice board with components, a soldering iron tip suitable for SMT soldering. I believe it fits Hakko style soldering irons, but haven't tried it yet. The tweezers also work well and are of good quality. The assortment of common integrated circuits and breakout boards will come in handy as well. The components are crammed into a small 4" X 6" case so you may want to organize them better, but overall I am very pleased so far and the kit was just what I needed.

Comes with many components in many sizes plus has the case, everything is labeled and the price is nice

Lots of variety but hell to shift through. The labeling is awful.
