Good product for price point
For the price this vacuum is really good! Easy to connect up and has cleared my tank really well in 5 minutes of just practicing using it! It does the job in between water changes and getting up any excess food!

You get what you pay for
An absolute piece of rubbish, lying now in the bin 20 min after I received it.The details:-Parts not as shown in the manual or online.-The extension tubes won’t fit into the main pump outlet (too wide) and had to apply PTFE tape so that it can fit and won’t leak.-Will suck only dust but not bigger particles such as fish poop (defies the purpose entirely)-5 min into operation, it stopped then became fiddly afterward (you must press start many times and up to your luck when it’ll start), eventually stopped working all together ( not the batteries as they had power still)-Generally of poor quality and craftsmanship.-The length of the extension tubes not fit for purpose (it’ll either be too short to reach the tank bottom or to long no matter how you try to adjust them or combine different lengths) therefore I had to cut some tube lengths to make it work, hence why it’s now in the bin and not on its way back to amazon.-The min/max level is utterly ridiculous as it’s like 6mm between both which means you must operate it with a precision robotic arm or something to make it work well.Anyway what do you expect for £16? You really get what you pay for.

Great idea, poor execution
As per title. Base is good (if very very cheaply built) but overall design is poor.1. Suction power is fantastic, if you prime the pump & can keep it primed by keeping the angle correct2. The netted filter works well put comes off it’s mount easily & the mount itself comes off the handle really easily (once the bag fills a little it water forces it off)3. Parts quality is very very low (think poundshop £1 action figure quality). So far in 15 mins of use the gravel guard has broke & the water pipe has collapsed on itself, plus the fittings on the water pipe fall out each time you use it.With modifications (cable tie fittings in place, change bag position from on handle to attached to pipe) it will work a treat.Overall 3 starts, cheapest powered one on Amazon so you get what you pay for. Works but needs fettled with to be useable longer term

Very good product
Product is, on the whole, easy to use. There is an additional tube included to lengthen the suction pipe, but we couldn't get it to attach. Its ok though as the remaining pieces are still long enough to reach to the bottom of the tank. The suction is good and cleared a lot of debris from the bottom gravel. Can also remove the filter bag and use it to siphon off water quickly and easily. Only complaint would be the quality of the filter bag which ripped quite quickly, but replacements are available cheaply. Would definitely recommend.

Lasted 6 months
Suction power is pretty good. Position too close to substrate and it will suck up sand and gravel. Sand not a problem but 2 or 3 pieces up the tube the impeller jams and the motor cuts off. Manoeuvring the tube is quite tricky with bogwood, spider wood etc to avoid but with some practice you can achieve good results. The motor being quite small is quiet and does not disturb the fish. The upper/lower water level limits for the device mean there is little room for error when angling the tube for best results or any result. Again after a few tries you get the hang of it.The battery compartment is an issue. The instructions state 2 AA batteries however as some reviewers have pointed out the compartment is too wide for standard AA batteries such that the batteries lose contact and power is cut to the motor. This can be rectified by folding 2 pieces of corrugated cardboard and slipping either side of the batteries to keep them in place.Overall quite fiddly but worth persevering with. £16 is a little steep but the unit is quite solid. It remains to be seen how long the motor lasts. A qualified recommendation (of sorts). Edited - stopped working after about 6 months bought mains operated which works far better.

Single most rubbish purchase I have ever made
Not a single thing about this vac is good.If you don't want the full extension on the tube (because your tank is smaller), there's actually no way of configuring the pump as it only fits the wider (and longer) tube, which then connects in to the shorter, thinner one. This tube you cannot connect directly to the pump.Suction is poor.Once hoses are connected, the part which siphons out the rubbish and deposits that in a bag keeps falling off, so you end up sucking up rubbish from the gravel and just spreading that in your water. The power switch is temperamental.Feels like the cheapest plastic known to man.Doesn't even fit back in the box. Honestly do not blinking bother with this, utter garbage.

It really does work .....
My parcel arrived in good time, and packaged okay. Now I’ve only used this the once, and it is a learning curve, too high out of the water and nothing happens, take notice of the minimum and maximum line on the device, I found you have to be at that water level mark, at the surface of the water for there to be suction.I sucked up loads of sand (two bag fulls) from one tank (learning curve reference) but where there’s sand there’s poop.I also wrapped clear cellotape around the very bottom of the tube that makes contact with the substrate, it helps with suction (I watched a few .... how to use ..... videos on YouTube, and it was a recommendation on one of the videos). One of my tanks is a big aquaoak cube .... and there was plenty of tube and some spare that if my tank was even deeper I could have still used this, it’s a great length.I’m definitely sticking with learning how to use this device, it should mean I can go longer between water changes and my tanks not look like a poopy mess in the meantime.
